Hilton Bolsters Athens Presence with Three Lifestyle Hotels

Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has confirmed plans to open three properties in Athens following franchise agreements with Aluma Greece IKE. Adia Aluma Athens, Curio Collection by Hilton and Anise Aluma Athens, Tapestry Collection by Hilton are both expected to open in 2025, with Skylark Aluma Athens, Tapestry Collection by Hilton set to open in 2026. The signings of these three new hotels across the Curio Collection by Hilton and Tapestry Collection by Hilton brands will further strengthen Hilton’s lifestyle portfolio, adding over 500 new rooms for guests in the Athens.

Henderson Park Acquires Portfolio Of Five French Hotels

Henderson Park, the international private equity real estate firm, has acquired a portfolio of five hotels in France alongside asset management company Atream, a leading French tourism firm headquartered in Paris. The purchase was undertaken in two separate transactions comprising the acquisition, from French institutional investors, of the hotel properties historically operated via variable lease contracts and, simultaneously, the transfer of the operations by the hotel operator.

UK Hotel Investment Reaches Five-Year Highs

Transaction volumes in the UK hotel real estate market reached c. £1.8 billion in the last quarter of 2024, a remarkable 176% increase against the same period in 2023. The rise in Q4 was driven largely by the reported £900 million sale of ADIA’s Marriott hotel portfolio to KKR’s Amante Capital and Baupost, single-asset transactions in London as well as Edinburgh, and smaller sales across the UK regions.

Covivio and AccorInvest finalise consolidation deal ownership of the premises and businesses of their hotels for a total exchange value of almost €800M

Covivio has announced the completion of the process of consolidating the ownership of jointly owned hotel operating and property companies with AccorInvest. At the end of this operation, initiated at the end of 2023, Covivio holds full ownership of 43 hotels located in France, Belgium and Germany, and sells to AccorInvest 16 hotels in the same regions.

KKR and Baupost Purchase 33 Marriott International Hotels in the UK from ADIA

Leading investment firms KKR and The Baupost Group today announced a joint venture to purchase a portfolio of 33 Marriott International hotels across the UK from a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA).
