Whitbread Plc, the UK’s leading hospitality group, has acquired the freehold interest in New London House at 6 London Street, EC3 in the City of London. The 89,722 sq ft NIA office, retail and restaurant building was acquired from clients of Orchard Street Investment Management for £56.5m.

Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has signed a franchise agreement with Annexum to develop two hotels totalling 480 rooms in Rotterdam. Mainport Hotel Rotterdam, Curio Collection by Hilton and DoubleTree by Hilton Rotterdam Centre are due to open in 2024 following renovations, during which both hotels will remain operational and will be trading as Hilton affiliate hotels. Investment manager Annexum recently acquired the two hotels, which will become the first properties under the Curio Collection by Hilton and DoubleTree by Hilton brands in Rotterdam, and join Hilton Rotterdam and Motto by Hilton Rotterdam Blaak in the Dutch city.
Scandic Hotels has signed a long-term lease agreement with landlord Projekti GH Oy for two hotels with a total of 459 rooms in the unique Garden Helsinki, a multi-functional event arena in Helsinki, Finland. The agreement includes one Scandic Go hotel with 232 rooms and a 227-room Scandic hotel that are expected to open in 2028. The new hotels will be established in one of Scandic’s key destinations where the company sees growing demand from both corporate and leisure travelers.

Hilton (NYSE: HLT) today announced a franchise agreement with Intersped d.o.o. Sarajevo to open Hotel Neretva Mostar, Tapestry Collection by Hilton and Hampton by Hilton Sarajevo City Centre. Marking a country-first for Hilton in Bosnia & Herzegovina, the two hotels will be situated in prime central locations in Mostar and Sarajevo, with both hotels set to open by 2026.
