Paul Maddison has been named Managing Director at The Meritage Resort and Spa

Paul Maddison has been named Managing Director of The Meritage Resort and Spa, where he leads resort operations and a team of more than 600 team members across Napa Valley's premier wine country destination. A seasoned hospitality executive, he brings decades of luxury leadership experience across California. Maddison began his career at Loews Hotels & Co., holding senior leadership roles in Santa Monica and Coronado before joining Pacific Hospitality Group. Within PHG, he served as General Manager of Paséa Hotel & Spa and Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa, and as Opening General Manager of AC Hotel Irvine. In this new role, he is focused on continuing to elevate The Meritage as the destination of choice for group, leisure, and social experiences for the Napa community. Maddison looks to create new experiential food and wine-driven activities and evolving the property's current live music series, with a goal is to deliver memorable, sensory-rich moments that resonate with both visitors and locals alike. Originally born in England and relocating from Orange County, Maddison is also an advocate for dog rescue and adoption and is joined in Napa by his mini bernedoodle, Maggie.

Satya Anand has been appointed as President U.S., Canada & CALA at Marriott International, Inc.

Satya Anand, a 37-year Marriott veteran, began his career in 1988 as a Night Auditor at the Vienna Marriott Hotel. Throughout his tenure, he has held leadership roles spanning operations, finance, and design, including Cluster General Manager for the Renaissance Hotels in Vienna, Area Vice President for Western & Central Europe, Chief Financial Officer for Europe, and Chief Operations Officer for Luxury & Southern Europe and Global Design EMEA.

Under his leadership, the resort has strengthened its position as a high-occupancy, family-focused beach resort on Dubai Islands, enhanced guest satisfaction scores through improved service standards with more intuitive family-friendly experiences, introduced new revenue streams across F&B, spa, and recreation while maintaining strong value for money for families and improved internal structures, reporting, and quality assurance systems to support long-term growth.A passionate advocate for people development, Samer is known for his hands-on empowering leadership style. He has championed internal promotion, cross-exposure opportunities and clear career pathways helping to build a strong pipeline of future leaders within the resort. His "Champion" concept, where team members are given ownership of key initiatives, guest journey touchpoints and commercial projects has helped foster a culture of accountability, pride and innovation across various departments. Looking ahead, Samer's vision for Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai is to reinforce its status as a benchmark for family resorts in the UAE, combining Centara's Thai-inspired warmth with Dubai's energy and diversity.
