Karen Di Fulgo has been appointed as Chief People Officer at Pyramid Global Hospitality

BENCHMARK®, a global hospitality company, announces that Karen Di Fulgo has been promoted to Chief People Officer. Greg Champion, Benchmark’s co-president & COO, made the announcement. Karen Di Fulgo was previously Benchmark’s senior vice president human resources, a position she was appointed to in 2015. She joined Benchmark as vice president human resources. Ms. Di Fulgo served as vice president human resources for Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center prior to joining Benchmark. She also held the position of senior corporate director of employee development for The Brickman Group, and served as global vice president human resources for TNS Healthcare. Karen Di Fulgo graduated from the University of Baltimore, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in human resources. She resides in The Woodlands with her family.

Sterling Brown has been appointed as Human Resources Director at Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers

Tim Williams has been appointed as Group HR Director at Grace Hotels

Tim Williams takes up the newly-created global role of Group HR Director, based in London, to oversee the growing team of passionate colleagues. Joining from the Aman Group, Tim was Head of Human Resources responsible for all people-related matters of the group of 31 luxury hotels and 9,000 employees in 25 countries. Tim brings 25 years of international experience in his field, with over a decade at Accenture before assuming roles in Asia Pacific at Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts followed by Minor International.

Jack Myers has been appointed as Executive Vice President Human Resources at sbe

sbe, the Los Angeles-based leading lifestyle hospitality company that develops, manages and operates award-winning hospitality venues globally, announced today it has hired Jack Myers as Executive Vice President Human Resources. In this role, Myers will manage global human resources across sbe and its subsidiaries, focused on further developing the company’s performance-centered culture while promoting sbe’s corporate and branding objectives on a global level. Myers is based in New York.

Kimberly Atkinson has been appointed as Director of Human Resources at Hotel Durant, Berkeley

BENCHMARK®, a global hospitality company, has named Kimberly Atkinson director of human resources for Hotel Durant. The property, located in Berkeley, California, is part of Benchmark’s prestigious Gemstone Collection. Dell Dellinger, regional managing director, made the announcement. Kimberly Atkinson was previously director of human resources for Hotel Zelos San Francisco. Prior to this, Ms. Atkinson served in the role of human resources manager for the Villa Florence Hotel in San Francisco. She is a graduate of City College of San Francisco, California. Ms. Atkinson is relocating to Los Angeles.

Lourdes Harkins has been appointed as director of human resources at Doral Arrowwood

BENCHMARK®, a global hospitality company, has named Lourdes Harkins as director of human resources for Doral Arrowwood. The resort, located in Rye Brook, New York, is a Benchmark Resorts & Hotels property. Mike McNeill, Benchmark’s general manager, made the announcement. Lourdes Harkins brings 22 years of leadership experience in human resources management to her new position at Doral Arrowwood. She was previously area director of human resources for Destinations Hotel & Resorts, based at Tarrytown Estate and Conference Center. Ms. Harkins is a graduate of the College of Mount Saint Vincent where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business with a concentration in Human Resources. She resides in New York City.

Mike Audrain has been appointed as Director of Human Resources at Jumeirah Vittaveli

Hailing from the UK where he started his career, Mike’s career has given him a great insight into people management and training. He first worked with Eldridge and then with Whitbread Hotels & Restaurants. In the Middle East, Mike worked with Grand Millennium Abu Dhabi and Dusit Thani Dubai, before he moved on to his most recent role, as Director of Human Resources of the Morgan’s Hotel Group, at the Mondrian in Doha, Qatar. He has previously worked with Jumeirah, as HR and Development Manager, which was crucial in developing and implementing the expansion plan for the growth of the Jumeirah Living luxury serviced apartments.

Leah Levar has been appointed as Director, Human Resources at SLS Seattle

Levar brings over 20 years of hospitality experience to SLS Seattle having served as the human resources executive for the iconic Olympic Hotel since 1994. She is recognized for her excellence in leading both Four Seasons and Fairmont five diamond award winning teams. She has earned the “Best in Class” Colleague Engagement award annually from 2009 – 2015, and the Service Excellence Award in both 2009 and 2014. She is a Washington State University alumni and a board member of the Seattle Society for Human Resource Management.

Schalk van der Merwe has joined Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana as director of human resources

Prior to his appointment Van der Merwe worked as a group human resource manager where he was responsible for the complete human resources function and development, after which he joined Rotana as an assistant director of human resources in Beach Rotana, Abu Dhabi.Van der Merwe has worked in human resources for several companies, as well as educational institutions in South Africa, throughout his career.
