COMO Shambhala Estate — COMO's flagship wellness centre in Ubud, Bali — will be managed by Ram Hiralal. Ram is no stranger to COMO, as she assisted with the pre-opening of COMO Parrot Cay in 1998. Her background has always been in the hospitality industry — she began her career with HPL at the Concord Hotel Kuala Lumpur in 1991 before joining Four Seasons in 2003, working in various resorts before her final role as Resort Manager at Four Seasons Koh Samui. She joins COMO Shambhala Estate just as it reinvigorates its position as a leading wellness centre and launches four new wellness programmes.

Lintangsari Puspohandayani has been appointed as Director of Operations at Hilton Bali Resort

Lintang brings more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry in Bali and Java to her new role at Hilton Bali Resort. In her former role as the General Manager at The Royal Surakarta Heritage Solo - MGallery by Sofitel, she was responsible for leading the hotel's operation, overall management and business performance. Lintang was also previously Executive Assistant Manager at the Mercure Bali Nusa Dua where she helmed the successful rebranding of two food and beverage outlets, as well as Director of Sales at the All Seasons Legian Bali.

Nadine Waechter-Moreno has been appointed as Executive Chef at Hyatt Regency Bali

A native of Luzern, Switzerland, Chef Waechter-Moreno started her journey in Hyatt at Park Hyatt Tokyo, as Chef de Cuisine at New York Grill, from 2008 to 2010, before rising to Executive Chef position in the same hotel from 2010 to 2013. Chef Waechter-Moreno played a vital role in the preopening of Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen in Mexico, where she worked as Executive Chef overseeing three outlets. A foodie at heart, Chef Waechter-Moreno reveals the reason why she returns to Asia is because of the food. "I love Asian cuisine's variety, flavour, and the fact that each region has a specialty dish. I am excited to learn and dig into it from my future colleagues and chefs." In her spare time Chef Waechter-Moreno likes to try different restaurants. "Bali food scene is amazing and I cannot wait to experience the different eateries around the island," says the chef.

Stijn van Leeuwen has been appointed as Director of Food and Beverage at Hyatt Regency Bali

Fresh after opening the Park Hyatt Bangkok, Stijn van Leeuwen hails from the Netherlands. In his new role Stijn will oversee the hotel's outlets and event spaces: Omang Omang; all-day dining, Pizzaria; beachfront Italian restaurant, Piano Lounge; a lobby bar with live entertainment and Hyatt's signature Residence meeting spaces including a 500m2 ballroom. Stijn's journey in Hyatt has brought him to many exciting destinations around the world, from Johannesburg, Shenzhen, Manila, Bangkok, and now Bali. "My absolute favorite part of the job is putting smiles on our guest's faces, something I look forward to achieve in Bali," says Stijn. In his spare time, Stijn enjoys riding motorbikes, swimming and -of course- exploring hidden culinary gems and eating and drinking out in renowned restaurants and bars throughout the world.

Mohamed Kerzazi has been appointed as Executive Assistant Manager - Room at Hyatt Regency Bali

Mr Kerzazi is a highly experienced EAM Rooms whose career spans over 23 years in international Hyatt properties. Born and raised in Casablanca, Morocco, Mr Kerzazi started his first job working as a Front Office Clerk at Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in 1995. He then rose to various positions in Rooms division within Hyatt hotels in USA, Canada, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia and now, Indonesia. Hyatt Regency Bali will be the seventh hotel that Mr Kerzazi co-opens. Previously he played a vital role in the opening of two city hotels, two resorts and the first Andaz property in USA. Mr Kerzazi is honoured to be part of the pre-opening team of the Hyatt in beautiful Sanur.

Sebastien Wilson has been appointed as Resort Manager at InterContinental Bali Resort

Sebastien Wilson started his career in the hospitality industry 17 years ago. He has since spent 13 years with IHG in corporate and hotel roles across a variety of IHG brands from Holiday Inn to InterContinental Hotels & Resorts in Australia, the South Pacific, and most recently the Singapore Corporate Office, where he fulfilled the position of ‘Project Director, Luxury & Lifestyle’. A French-Australian national, Sebastien is results oriented with a strong service culture and people focus. He has proven his ability to manage and communicate with multiple stakeholders across different organisations and levels, each with a variety of goals and objectives. He is a meticulous planner with immaculate attention to detail and a commitment to attaining high standards of achievement. Furthermore, through his experience in finance, he has developed a strong strategic and analytical ability. Married with two children, he speaks three languages: English, French and German. In his capacity as Resort Manager, Sebastien is responsible for the overall daily operations of InterContinental Bali Resort. Michael Koth has been appointed general manager of InterContinental Bali Resort. Besides overseeing the daily operations of the resort, Koth also holds a dual role with InterContinental Hotels Group's (IHG) as director of operations for AMEA resorts Malaysia, Indonesia & Thailand, where he is responsible for Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn Resorts and Holiday Inn Express throughout the region.
