Scott Pharr has been appointed as Director of Catering at Hilton Anatole

The iconic Hilton Anatole today announced the promotion of Scott Pharr to the position of Director of Catering. An industry veteran and expert within the local Dallas market, Pharr has been an integral part of the Anatole team for 18 years, and a member of the hotels celebrated catering department for the past 13. Scott first joined the Anatole team in 1998 as manager of the then Wyndham Anatoles 5-star Nana Grill. Most recently, Pharr served as Assistant Director of Catering, contributing to the departments notable growth and longstanding reputation of excellence.

Jorge Gonzalez has been appointed as Chef de Cuisine at The Highland Dallas

A seasoned professional with a stellar track record of culinary successes, Gonzalez is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations at the hotel’s acclaimed restaurant, Knife. A Texas native, Gonzalez first earned an appreciation for culinary arts working on his grandfather’s farm. This work inspired him to earn a degree in Culinary Arts from Collin County Community College in McKinney, Texas. Prior to joining The Highland Dallas, he served as Sous Chef at the celebrated Fearing’s Restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton in Dallas for more than eight years. Additionally, Gonzalez assisted in opening Chef Tom Colicchio’s renowned restaurant, Craft, at the W Hotel in Dallas. Gonzalez began his culinary career working at Jasper’s in Plano, Texas, where he received extensive training and honed his culinary and leadership skills.

Jemel Jones has been appointed as General Manager at DoubleTree DFW Arlington South

Atlanta-based Hotel Equities announced Jemel Jones as the General Manager of the all-new DoubleTree by Hilton DFW Arlington South, in Arlington, Texas.Mr. Jones came to Hotel Equities from Transformance, Inc. where he spearheaded the firm’s re-branding. He previously held a series of leadership positions with Hilton Hotels building on nearly 20 years of experience in hospitality. Early in his career, as the Director of Rooms Operations & Revenue Management for the DoubleTree New Orleans, he managed day-to-day operations. From there, Hilton tapped him to provide revenue management and develop strategies to achieve revenue and sales goals for five Hilton branded hotels.

Jackie Edmonds has been appointed as Regional Director of Sales at Hotel Equities

Atlanta-based Hotel Equities (HE) named Jackie Edmonds the Regional Director of Sales to the firm’s regional office in Plano, Texas. She will report to Drew Salapka, Vice President of Sales & Revenue Generation. Ms. Edmonds works with a defined number of properties in the Hotel Equities’ portfolio to assist, support and direct the sales efforts in those hotels. She also conducts training for the Directors of Sales at their respective hotels. With more than 25 years of experience, Ms. Edmonds comes to Hotel Equities from Newcrestimage in Dallas where she served as Corporate Director of Sales. Throughout her career, she has helped in the opening of over 40 hotels and has worked with more than 26 different franchise hotel brands. Ms. Edmonds began her career behind the desk of the Martha Washington Inn, an Historic Hotel of America property in Abingdon, Virginia. She soon transitioned to Sales Coordinator and then to Catering Manager and her career path was set. She has held leadership positions in sales and marketing with Stonebridge Companies in Colorado, InterMountain Management in Louisiana, and Kinseth Hotel companies in Iowa. Ms. Edmonds attended the University of Tennessee and Virginia Intermont College in Bristol Virginia. She graduated with Honors with a B.S. in Business Administration. An avid traveler, she has visited each of the 50 states and traveled to over 25 countries. She enjoys watching Denver Broncos’ football and Duke Blue Devil’s basketball. Her hobbies include boating, sewing and attending concerts.

Lora Baronet-Diehl has been appointed as Director of Catering at Sheraton Dallas

Baronet-Diehl brings to Sheraton Dallas more than 16 years of experience in catering and restaurant management in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining the Sheraton Dallas, Baronet-Diehl was a Catering Sales Manager and Convention Services Manager at Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa, a Catering Sales Manager at W Dallas-Victory Hotel & Residences, a Catering and Restaurant Sales Manager at Gaylord Texan, and most recently served as the Director of Catering at the Hilton Fort Worth and The Ashton Hotel.

Ta'alolo Puni Pau has been appointed as Director of Recreation at Hilton Anatole

The iconic Hilton Anatole today announced its appointment of Ta’alolo Puni Pau as the new Director of Recreation for the 1,606 room hotel located in the Dallas Design District. An accomplished hospitality professional with more than ten years of industry experience, Puni Pau rejoins the Hilton Worldwide family from Disney’s acclaimed Aulani Resort and Spa on the island of Oahu where he most recently served as Recreation Manager, leading the service and operations of the hotel’s award-winning aquatic facilities. In this new role, Ta’alolo will oversee the opening and operations of the Anatole’s heavily anticipated Jade Waters, an upscale resort-style pool complex opening this summer.

Brooke Danielsen has been appointed as Director of Sales at Hampton Inn & Suites Dallas Downtown

Hampton Inn & Suites Dallas Downtown, which is slated to open in mid-March, announces the appointment of Rick Crain as General Manager and Brooke Danielsen as Director of Sales of the 176-room hotel property in downtown Dallas. NewcrestImage, a hotel development, construction and management firm based in Lewisville, Texas, owns the hotel.
