Born in Scotland and part Egyptian, Nadia Beaulieu joins Jumeirah from Marriott International, where she was the Director of Sales and Marketing at a number of properties including the London Park Lane Marriott. In 2007, she led the sales and marketing team at the Fairmont Towers and Heliopolis hotel in Egypt. Other roles included the Cairo Marriott and Omar Khayyam on the river Nile and the JW Marriott Cairo and Renaissance Cairo Mirage City. Nadia’s most recent role was the launch of Marriott’s first Autograph Collection brand in the Middle East and Africa, the Habtoor Grand in Dubai. In her new role, Nadia will oversee all sales and marketing activities for Jumeirah Emirates Tower.
Mohamed Abbas Elaraki, the newly appointed Director of HR, is a seasoned professional who has been associated with a number of five star hotels based in the UAE for over a decade. Just before joining the Grand Millennium Dubai, he was working with Rotana Hotels – Dubai. In the past, he was associated with Crowne Plaza Hotel – Dubai, and Hilton Corniche Residence - Abu Dhabi.

Italian national Nicola Zamboni has been appointed Executive Assistant Manager (EAM) of Radisson Royal Hotel Dubai, effective August 1st, 2015. After earning a Swiss Diploma in Hotel Management in Greece and a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management in the UK, Zamboni went on to work in F&B in Corfu and Rhodes in Greece, followed by positions at Rotana and has been with Radisson brand since 2012. Zamboni’s first position with Radisson was as director of food & drinks, where he was responsible for all F&B outlets. In addition to this, Nicola took over the leadership of the kitchen department in April 2014.
New DOSM Olinda Morais joins the hotel with more than 15 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, including six years with Jumeirah Group in Dubai. Prior to her time with Jumeirah, Morais had worked with Hilton Worldwide in Paris, London, Venezuela, and in a regional director of revenue role for Hilton in Latin America.
Hilal was previously hotel manager at the Burj Al Arab for a number of years, while Morais was most recently director of sales, MICE, corporate, government & conversion at Madinat Jumeirah. Hilal takes over the general manager role from Klaus Assmann, who worked in management roles with Jumeirah group between 2003 and 2013, and is now vice president Dubai Parks and Resorts. Prior to his role as hotel manager at Burj Al Arab, Hilal worked in management and F&B roles with major operators around the world, in properties including Hilton on Park Lane, London, The Ritz-Carlton Hong kong, and One&Only Le Touessrok, Mauritius.
Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates has appointed previous Jumeirah Group GM, Grant Ruddiman as its new general manager. Grant Ruddiman takes over from Konstantin Zeuke and brings more than 30 years’ hospitality experience from roles at Jumeirah Group, Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Sun International.

In his role, El Masri will head the sales and marketing departments in developing and implementing strategies to increase hotel revenue and keep pace with the robust competition in Dubai, especially in Downtown area. He is tasked to further ties with the hotel’s key partners, generate business leads and identify new markets for the property. On top of his function as DOSM, El Masri will also oversee the GCC sales strategy for R Hotels, the property’s owning company.

Hilton Worldwide today announced the signing of a management agreement with the Hospitality Division of the Mohammad Omar Bin Haider Holding Group to open Hilton Dubai World Central (DWC), an upscale 535 guest-room hotel in the heart of DWC - the 145 square kilometre master planned urban development centered on Dubai's Al Maktoum International Airport.
UAE-based hospitality group, Flora Hospitality, has announced the promotion of Jikku John Mathew to Cluster Director of Operations. He will be in charge of Flora Grand Hotel and Flora Al Barsha Hotel, a new addition to Flora Hospitality collection of hotels and hotel apartments in Dubai.
Barakat, a Jordanian-British national, has worked in London and throughout the Middle East with placements in Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. His experience spans over ten years working with Four Seasons, Hilton, Hyatt and Marriott.
