The Australian national, who is also a Michelin-trained chef, brings 20 years of international industry experience to his new role. He has worked across Asia, with posts in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand, and also spent time in the UK.As executive chef, Wright will be responsible for 200 chefs across 12 outlets at the resort.

Otto Kurzendorfer, who is a native of Germany, comes from a food and beverage background with experience across all hotel departments, and a 24-year career spanning several continents and companies with positions in the Bahamas, Germany, Seychelles, Damascus, Qatar, UK and the Chinese main hotel locations, Shanghai and Sanya working mainly for Starwood and InterContinental Hotels Group.

Alessandro Redaelli has been appointed as General Manager at Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah

Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah has welcomed Alessandro Redaelli as the hotel's new General Manager. Redaelli will oversee the day-to-day operations at the all-suite resort. Redaelli will also oversee the second phase of the hotel's expansion. With construction for the project restarting in the coming weeks, the resort is set to open in the second half of 2015. Redaelli joins the team from Hotel Nikol'skaya Kempinski Moscow, where he oversaw the much-anticipated opening of the hotel as General Manager. Prior, Redaelli spent two years leading Hotel de la Paix in Geneva, for Concorde Hotels & Resorts. In addition he has also held the position of Group General Manager for Boscolo Luxury Hotels, simultaneously looking after hotels in Rome, Venice, Prague, Budapest and Nice. The new appointment for Redaelli marks his return to the Middle East, having held a variety of management positions with InterContinental Hotels & Resorts in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, and with Sheraton Hotel & Resorts in Doha.

Most recently, Syed served as regional development director of Wyndham Exchange & Rentals in the Middle East and North Africa, during which time he led the expansion of the Wyndham brand footprint in the region. His vast experience also includes senior management positions at Cendant VNG, based in London, and Taj Hotels, Resorts & Palaces in India.
