Dual Brand AC Hotel & Residence Inn In North Dallas

The property, scheduled to open in late June, combines an eight-floor, 150-room AC Hotel with a seven-floor, 150-room Residence Inn in the same building. The two hotels are the first to open as part of an ambitious "lifestyle hotel campus" that is the first-of-its-kind in the country, bringing together four brands and 600 rooms within 50 yards of each other.

Charles “Cee Jay” Jones Jr has been appointed as Association Sales Manager at Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Frisco

John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts (JQH) today announced that Charles “Cee Jay” Jones Jr. has joined the company as association sales manager of JQH’s newly renovated Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Frisco Hotel, Convention Center & Spa in Texas, which is located north of Dallas near the $5 Billion Mile development. Jones will serve as the point of contact for large association events at the completely refreshed Frisco Conference Center, connected to the 330-suite, 2017 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence hotel. With more than 25 years of experience in hospitality and travel sales, Jones most recently served as sales manager for the Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas DFW Airport South in Irving, Texas, where he was responsible for the Texas association/SMERF business. The upscale Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Frisco is owned and operated by Springfield, Missouri-based JQH, a leading private, independent owner and manager of hotels in the United States. JQH also operates more than 1 million square feet of superb meeting space.

Mike Woodfin has been appointed as Director of Sales at Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Frisco

John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts (JQH) has appointed Mike Woodfin to director of sales at the Springfield, Missouri-based company’s newly renovated Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Frisco Hotel, Convention Center & Spa located north of Dallas near the $5 Billion Mile development. Woodfin previously served as director of sales for JQH’s Courtyard by Marriott Dallas Allen at the John Q. Hammons Center, also located in a suburb north of Dallas in Texas. Prior to returning to JQH’s Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Frisco, Woodfin served as director of sales at JQH’s Courtyard by Marriott Dallas Allen at the John Q. Hammons Center for nearly three years. At JQH’s 228-room/suite Dallas Allen property, Woodfin oversaw a sales team that exceeded overall revenue goals, including the hotel’s achieving its best catering year in 2016. His hospitality career also includes serving as group sales manager for the Omni Dallas Hotel at Park West in Dallas, where he was named a member of Omni’s President Circle for exceeding sales goals for three consecutive years. He also worked as director of audio visual at PSAV Presentation Services in Dallas, where his clients included large hotels in the Dallas area. Woodfin graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He is active in the professional and civic communities and has served as a board member of the Dallas Fort Worth Association Executives and for the Frisco Family YMCA, where he was Chair of the Leadership Committee.

Michael Salerno has been appointed as General Manager for Neighborhood Services at Omni Frisco Hotel

Michael Salerno will serve as general manager for Neighborhood Services overseeing all financial, managerial and operational aspects of the American fare dining establishment. A North Texas native, Salerno brings more than 10 years of leadership experience in food and beverage to the Omni Frisco Hotel. He joins Omni from his role as general manager for Neighborhood Services in Addison, Texas. Prior to that, he served in assistant general manager positions for Fireside Pies in Plano, Texas, The Front Room at Hotel Lumen in Highland Park, Texas, and Salerno’s Restaurant in Flower Mound, Texas.

Dave Ricci has been appointed as Director of Human Resources at Omni Frisco Hotel

As director of human resources, Dave Ricci joins the Omni Frisco Hotel from Omni Austin Hotel Downtown, where he served in the same capacity since 2013. Prior to joining the Omni brand, he served as area director of human resources for Destination Hotels & Resorts, responsible for The Driskill in Austin and Hotel Derek in Houston. Ricci earned a Bachelor of Science in human resources management and services from California State University-Long Beach. He is a Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Certified Professional.

Justin McNeely has been appointed as Director of Engineering at Omni Frisco Hotel

Justin McNeely will be the director of engineering for the new luxury hotel. He moves to the Omni Frisco Hotel from Omni Dallas Hotel at Park West where he has served as director of engineering since 2014. Prior to his time at Omni Park West, McNeely served as assistant director of engineering at Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas. During his tenure with the brand, he has held a number of positions including technical engineer and engineering supervisor.

Gayla Guyse has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Omni Frisco Hotel

Gayla Guyse will serve as the property’s director of sales & marketing responsible for overseeing all sales and marketing efforts including managing, developing and implementing strategies that drive group, catering, business and leisure travel revenue. An accomplished 19-year Omni veteran, Guyse has held a number of leadership roles within the company including director of sales & marketing, director of catering & convention services and group sales manager, all at Omni Dallas Hotel at Park West.

Ken Woods has been appointed as Director of Finance at Omni Frisco Hotel

Industry veteran Ken Woods will serve as the director of finance. He comes to Frisco from Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas where he has served as director of finance since 2014. Prior to that, Woods worked at a number of properties within the brand including Omni Providence Hotel from 2013-2014, Omni Richmond Hotel from 2008-2013 and Omni Dallas Hotel at Park West from 2006-2008. Before joining Omni Hotels & Resorts, Woods worked for other notable hospitality brands including Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Remington Hospitality and Embassy Suites. He attended Southeastern Academy where he earned a degree in hotel and motel management.

Lexy Coley has been appointed as Director of Operations at Omni Frisco Hotel

Lexy Coley will assume the role of the hotel’s director of operations. Coley joins the Omni Frisco Hotel from its sister property, the Omni Dallas Hotel, where she held several director level positions since 2011. Coley joined the Omni brand in 2007 as director of front office operations at Omni San Diego Hotel. Prior to that, Coley held leadership positions with Wynn Resorts, as well as Caesars Entertainment Corporation. She graduated from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas with a dual master’s degree in business and hotel administration, as well as a bachelor’s degree in hotel administration.
