Greg Liddell has been appointed as General Manager at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental

Greg Liddell will succeed Anthony Costa as General Manager of The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong with effect from 27 August, 2012. Mr Liddell joined Mandarin Oriental in 2009 as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi, Chiang Mai, during which time the property has been named as one of the ‘Best Hotels in Asia’ for service in the recent Travel + Leisure, ‘World’s Best Service’ listing.

Kitty Tang has been appointed as Director of Food and Beverage at Eaton Smart

With a major in hotel management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Tang has worked in the industry for over 20 years, particularly in banqueting and catering services. Prior to joining Eaton Smart, Hong Kong, she was the director of catering of Langham Place, Hong Kong, and has been working with the hotel since its pre-opening. She also held managerial positions for various five-star hotels, including Furama Hotel and Regal Airport Hotel in Hong Kong. In her new role as the director of food and beverage at Eaton Smart, Tang will assist Shane Pateman, GM of Eaton Smart, Hong Kong, in overseeing the hotel’s food and beverage division, which consists of banqueting service and seven restaurants and bar including Yat Tung Heen, the outpost of the Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant at Great Eagle Centre.

Marco Medaglia has been appointed as Angelini Head Chef at Kowloon Shangri-La

Dominique Berhouet has been appointed as General Manager of Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Kowloon East and Holiday Inn Express Hong Kong Kowloon East to spearhead the opening of two hotels in 4th quarter of 2012. Having joined the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in 1999 and previously responsible for launching and rebranding a number of properties. He most recently was the opening General Manager of Crowne Plaza Guangzhou City Centre.

Gary Ma has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Eaton Smart

Mazy Cheng has been named Director of Human Resources at Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers

Mazy brings to the flagship Sheraton in Hong Kong with her 15 years of experience in Human Resources. She first started her career in the hospitality industry in 1996 as Assistant Human Resources Manager at Hotel Nikko Hong Kong. She then moved to InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong as Director of Human Resources in 2001.

Dan Voellm has been promoted to partner and managing director of HVS Hong Kong’s Consulting and Valuation service. Voellm began his HVS career in New York in 2005 where he successfully performed numerous consulting and valuation assignments throughout the United States and Canada. Since moving to Hong Kong, he has provided advice in major markets, including China, South Korea, the Maldives, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Indonesia. Voellm has been an active participant at major industry conferences, having served as speaker at the China Hotel Investment Summit, the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the Hong Kong International Hotel Investment Forum. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute’s Young Leader Group and a graduate of the Lausanne Hotel School. He enjoys snowboarding, an eclectic cuisine, reading, and traveling.

Michael Gnaegi has been appointed as Hotel Manager at the Gateway Hotel

Mr Gnaegi is an experienced hotel operator and has held several senior management positions at Kempinski Hotel Group. Prior to joining Marco Polo Hotels, he was the Hotel Manager of Kempinski Hotel Baltschug Moscow in Russia. In his new position as Hotel Manager of the Gateway Hotel, he will oversees the overall operations and management of the centrally located Gateway Hotel on Canton Road, Tsimshatsui, Hong Kong.
