Outrigger Resorts has acquired the AKARYN Koh Samui Resort and Spa, which has been rebranded as the Outrigger Koh Samui Beach Resort. The deal closed on May 29, 2015, for an undisclosed sum. The resort remains fully open for business as an Outrigger Resort.

Originally from Switzerland, his work has taken him to countries such as India, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Singapore and Vietnam. Ruzza graduated from Swiss Hotel Management School (SHL) in Lucerne. He is an Italian-swiss hotelier who can speak fluently in English, German, Italian, French and Spanish.
