First Kimpton Opening Planned in Lisbon, Portugal

IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), one of the world's leading hotel companies, announces the signing of Kimpton Lisbon, the first Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants property in the Portuguese capital. Set to open its doors in early 2025, the boutique luxury hotel marks the second Kimpton to come to Portugal, following the signing of Kimpton Algarve São Rafael Atlántico in late 2023.

Hyatt Regency Brand Debuts in Lisbon, Portugal

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) today announced the opening of Hyatt Regency Lisbon, located in the pretty district of Belém along the banks of the breathtaking Tagus River. Marking the first Hyatt branded hotel in Portugal, the opening demonstrates Hyatt's intentional growth in the destinations that matters most to its guests and World of Hyatt members.

The Curator Hotel in Lisbon will open in 2023

In 2023, we'll head to Lisbon for the opening of The Curator Hotel in the historic district of Belém - Alcântara. More specifically, the property will be located within the Palace of the Counts of Ribeira Grande, which dates to the beginning of the 18th century, plus a newly built annex—both of which will also house the Museum of Contemporary Art Armando Martins, a new cultural project dedicated to modern and contemporary art. While the museum will occupy the ground floor of the entire building, 44 rooms will be spread among the first through sixth floors of the palace, with an additional six studios in an independent wing and 14 rooms in the new building. An onsite restaurant will be dedicated to local flavors and regional products and producers, while other amenities will include a garden, a small auditorium, and a desecrated chapel to host cultural programming with a focus on performing arts and literature.

Melroy Fernandes has been appointed as Director of Food & Beverage at Corinthia Lisbon

The appointment strengthens Corinthia Lisbon's existing Food and Beverage strategy and consolidates our restaurants and bars operations. Mr. Fernandes, who is originally from Goa, will oversee Corinthia Lisbon's restaurants and bars, which includes the established and successful Erva restaurant and bar, Soul Garden, the Tempus Lounge Bar renovation, and relaunched project with a brand-new concept. Melroy will also lead the introduction of the Lobby Lounge concept with bar and afternoon tea service, the Spa Lounge, In Room Dining and private dining and events.

New 290-key Radisson RED coming to Lisbon Olaias

Set to open in 2021, the new-build Radisson RED Lisbon Olaias will arrive in the vibrant Olaias neighborhood of Portugal's capital, with excellent transport connections to the city center. Hyatt Regency Brand to Enter the Portuguese Market with Hyatt Regency Lisbon

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE:H) announced today that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a franchise and related agreements with Realtejo - Hotelaria e Turismo, S.A., owned subsidiary of United Investments Portugal and Fibeira, to develop the first Hyatt branded hotel in Portugal: Hyatt Regency Lisbon. Expected to open in late 2020, the hotel will feature 200 hotel rooms and apartments and will be located between Rua Guerra Junqueiro and Avenida da Índia, a stunning waterfront location facing Tejo River.

The Barceló Hotel Group Opens Its First Lisbon Hotel Today

Portugal has been one of the Barceló Hotel Group's top destinations in 2018. Following the June grand opening of its first hotel in the country, Allegro Madeira (124 rooms), the chain is now welcoming guests to its first establishment in the Portuguese capital: Occidental Lisboa.
