Kevin Hendrickson has been named Jamaican Hospitality Personality Of The Year at The Jamaica Gleaner’s annual Hospitality Jamaica Awards

Noted Jamaican hotelier Kevin Hendrickson took home top honors at The Jamaica Gleaner’s annual Hospitality Jamaica Awards, receiving the coveted “Hospitality Personality Of The Year” award. The honor was presented in recognition of Hendrickson’s steadfast commitment to, and continued investment in, Jamaica’s tourism industry.Hendrickson began his hospitality career in 1981 serving as general manager of The Courtleigh Hotel in Kingston. In 1997, he purchased The Courtleigh, initiating a steady progression of hotel acquisition and development that would eventually see him become one of the foremost hoteliers in Jamaica and the broader Caribbean region.

Both all-inclusive luxury resorts have recently been recognized with AAA's coveted Four Diamond Award.

Carl A. Hendriks has been appointed as General Manager at Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall and Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall

Mr. Hendriks will officially assume his position as General Manager of Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall and Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall on September 1st. He brings more than 30 years of hospitality industry leadership. He joins Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall and Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall from Apple Leisure Group. Prior to that he enjoyed an extensive career as General Manager at numerous Sandals Resorts throughout the Caribbean. He began his hospitality career in Miami with Unique Vacations, Inc. A native of Mandeville, Jamaica, Mr. Hendriks started his education at DeCarteret College, Jamaica and then attended Miami Dade College and Cornell University. Mr. Hendriks is an advocate of the hospitality industry and furthering education in Jamaica. He has served as the School Board Chairman for Negril, as well as a Board Member for the Vocational Training School at Westmoreland. He is actively involved in the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce, the Jamaica Hotel & Tourist Association (JHTA), and the Caribbean Hotel & Tourist Association (CHTA).
