Nobu Hospitality, the globally recognised luxury lifestyle brand co-founded by Robert De Niro, has announced new details for the upcoming Nobu Beach Inn as part of The Beach Club, Barbuda, a low-density resort and residential community on the Caribbean Island of Barbuda. Following the successful opening of Nobu Barbuda in 2020 - a beach restaurant and lounge on the famed Princess Diana Beach that has since become a destination in its own right - De Niro has continued to expand his vision for the destination. Created in partnership with James Packer and Daniel Shamoon, Nobu Beach Inn will offer a barefoot luxury retreat immersed in its natural surroundings, capturing the understated simplicity of a bygone era.

Hermitage Bay in Antigua Re-Opens After Extension Renovation

Hermitage Bay, the highly acclaimed, laid-back, luxury resort nestled on the rolling hillside of Antigua's west coast, is set to open its doors again on November 1, 2024, following a multi-million dollar renovation project. Now under the ownership of international hotelier, Daniel Shamoon of Luxury Hotels Partners, the resort retains all the charm that established it as a Caribbean gem while offering inspired enhancements, including 30 fully redesigned guest villa suites, an increased number of private pools, refreshed spa and newly landscaped gardens. From 2014, Vidal was Managing Director at Las Ventanas al Paraíso, one of the leading resorts in the Americas encompassing 61 suites, 15 villas and 74 private residences. His role was expanded in 2019 to Regional Vice President, where he additionally led five of the collection's properties across the Americas. In 2022, while still Managing Director, Vidal was subsequently appointed Vice President of Operations Americas, where he was responsible for the group's commercial and business strategies, overseeing 14 properties across five countries.Prior to this, Vidal was General Manager at MAIA Luxury Resort & Spa in the Seychelles for seven years, guiding it from opening to being awarded one of the best beach resorts in the world. He previously held the role of General Manager of Les Thermes Marins de Monte Carlo in Monaco for three years.
