Luigi Romaniello has been appointed as Managing Director at Rosewood Baha Mar

Luigi Romaniello has been appointed managing director of Rosewood Baha Mar, which will open in 2018 as the ultra-luxury collection’s fourth property in the Caribbean. In this role, Romaniello will oversee the property’s opening and will manage all aspects of the resort’s operations. Boasting more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Romaniello joined Rosewood Hotels & Resorts in August 1999 as Resident Manager of Caneel Bay, A Rosewood Resort in the U.S. Virgin Islands where he managed all aspects of resort operations, including the implementation of a state-of-the-art wine room. Following this role, he successfully oversaw day-to-day operations of Rosewood Crescent Hotel in Dallas, Texas for five years. In 2007, Romaniello was appointed Managing Director of the then Mansion on Peachtree, A Rosewood Hotel & Residence in Atlanta, Georgia, where he led the team to a successful opening. Most recently, Romaniello served as managing director of Rosewood Abu Dhabi, where he led the opening of Rosewood’s premier property in the United Arab Emirates

Patricia Lawrence has been appointed as President at Resorts World Bimini

Genting Malaysia Berhad today announced the appointment of Patricia (Missy) Lawrence as President of Resorts World Bimini (RWB), effective immediately. In her new role, Ms. Lawrence will oversee all operations at the recently completed resort including gaming, entertainment, hotel, transportation and dining. In addition to being responsible for operations at RWB, Ms. Lawrence will also oversee the Genting-owned Hilton Miami Downtown which recently underwent a $30 million renovation.

David Flack has been appointed as General Manager at The Cove resort

Additionally, he held the positions of General Manager for Cuisinart Resort & Spa in Anguilla, General Manager within the Westin brand, and General Manager of Turtle Island Resort in Fiji. Rounding out his experience, Flack has held leadership positions within the incentive and restaurant industries.

Jermaine C. Wright has been appointed as General Manager at Comfort Suites Paradise Island

Wright, a seasoned tourism and hospitality professional, brings to his new post 23 years of experience working with airlines, hotels and resorts. Prior to this new role, he held various positions at the historic British Colonial Hilton in downtown Nassau for 15 years. During his tenure at Hilton, Wright received multiple awards for Sales Performance, RevPAR Growth and Hospitality Leadership. He successfully completed the Hilton Worldwide's SHINE 4D program in 2011 and a development and training program for general managers in 2014.

Benjamin Davis has been appointed as General Manager at Warwick Paradise Island Bahamas

Warwick Paradise Island Bahamas has named industry veteran Benjamin Davis as general manager of the 244-room resort set to open this summer as The Bahamas' premier adults-only, all-inclusive resort. Davis was most recently the general manager at Grand Lucayan on Grand Bahama Island where he spent five years (2011 - 2016) managing the 1,271-room resort. Prior to that, Davis served as chief operating officer for Restaurants Bahamas, the largest restaurant operation in the Bahamas. Davis was general manager at Bimini Bay Beach Resort from 2007 - 2009. He held the positions of vice president and general manager during his four years at the 700-room Radisson Cable Beach and Golf Resort on Nassau. Davis was the hotel manager for Our Lucaya when it opened its doors in 1999. Davis has held various positions with other Caribbean resorts including Barbados' Almond Beach Village and Forte Hotels' Nassau Beach Hotel in The Bahamas, Jamaica Pegasus in Kingston, and Sandy Lane Hotels in Barbados. Davis started his career in London where he worked at Four Seasons Inn on the Park and Forte Hotels' Grosvenor House. Davis has been a board member of the Bahamas Hotel and Tourism Association for the past nine years. He also served for four years as a board member of the Jamaica Hotel and Tourism Association. Davis was honoured by Forte Hotels with the "Newcomer of the Year" award in 1991.
