Canopy by Hilton to Open in Brazil

Canopy by Hilton, Hilton's (NYSE:HLT) lifestyle brand, announces its first property in Latin America with the signing of Canopy by Hilton São Paulo Jardins, slated to open in late 2019. Owned by Tati Construtora e Incorporadora and managed by Hilton, the 98-room adaptive re-use hotel will introduce locals and travelers alike to the brand's guest-directed service and locally-authentic experience.

Adrian François has been appointed as director of Franchise Sales & Development at Radisson Hotel Group

Adrian François also joins the team in a consultant capacity as director of Franchise Sales & Development. François will focus on growing Radisson Hotel Group's portfolio in South America specifically targeting Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay. He will be based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. François has a strong sales and development background working for several hospitality companies in Latin America. Most recently, he served as director of Sales & Development for L.E. Hotels, where he planned and executed sales strategies to increase the company's growth in Latin America. He also served as director of Sales & Business Development for a company that develops and implements integrated systems for corporate hospitality and held a sales and marketing role at Nikki Beach Hotels & Resorts.

Holiday Inn Goiânia for Brazil

IHG, (InterContinental Hotels Group) one of the world"s leading hotel companies, today announces the opening of the new-build 209-room Holiday Inn® Goiânia hotel. This is IHG"s eighth Holiday Inn property in Brazil and the first IHG hotel in the Midwestern city of Goiânia, located about 130 miles from Brasilia, the nation"s capital. The new hotel is centrally situated near the city"s main thoroughfares and is in walking distance to the 'Feira do Sol' and 'Feira da Lua', banks, the Bougainville Shopping mall and local parks.

With Marriott’s third largest presence in the Americas, Brazil continues to be a market of strong growth for the region. Currently there are 18 properties in Marriott’s Brazil portfolio, four of which were opened in 2016. This includes a Courtyard and Residence Inn in Rio de Janeiro, and two AC Hotels, also in Rio. This year, Marriott prepares to introduce the Fairfield Inn brand to the Brazil market with the opening of Fairfield Inn by Marriott Curitiba Afonso Pena Airport. This is one of three additional Fairfield Inn hotels in the pipeline.
