Radisson Blu Expands In The Caribbean With A Resort Signing In The Dominican Republic

Radisson Hotel Group today announced the signing of Radisson Blu Resort & Residences, Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. Located on the beautiful beach of Cabeza de Toro, the resort will be just ten minutes from downtown Punta Cana and the Punta Cana International Airport. The resort is also next to major attractions where guests can go swimming with dolphins at Dolphin Explorer or deep-sea fishing with Club Nautico Cabeza de Toro. Prior to opening its doors as a Radisson Blu, the property is undergoing an extensive renovation to further enhance the guest experience with exceptional, state-of-the-art amenities and services.

Hyatt Place Brand To Debut In The Dominican Republic

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE:H) announced today that Hyatt has entered into a management agreement with Pipax Investment, S.RL. for a new Hyatt Place hotel in the capital city of the Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo. The 120-room Hyatt Place Santo Domingo Piantini will mark the Hyatt Place brand's debut in the Dominican Republic and will be located in the country's epicenter for commercial and financial activities. The hotel will feature the Hyatt Place brand's intuitive design, approachable atmosphere and added conveniences that help guests do more.

Curio Collection by Hilton Expands in the Caribbean With Brand’s First Property in Dominican Republic

Hilton (NYSE: HLT) announced today the signing and groundbreaking of Curio Collection by Hilton's debut property in the Dominican Republic, Hotel Santiago, with the presence of the country´s president, Danilo Medina Sánchez. Set to open in late 2022, the modern hotel will form part of Santiago Center, an upscale mixed-use development offering a variety of entertainment including more than 15 dining options, a shopping mall, local artisan market and children's play area.

Pedro Tomas has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton La Romana

A Dominican Republic native, Pedro Tomás recently transitioned to the role of general manager for the newly rebranded Hilton La Romana resort, which was recently converted from Dreams La Romana in 2018. He will oversee full property renovations, including the integration of family-friendly and adults-only concepts scheduled to be completed by the end of 2019. Tomás launched his hospitality career in 2005 as a room division manager, before transitioning in-house as a resident manager. Going on to become an award-winning hotel management professional, Tomás has been at the helm of AAA Four Diamond recognized properties and the recipient of the 2016 CHRIS Rising Star Award.
