Mauro Governato has been appointed as General Manager at Hotel de Russie

Rocco Forte Hotels has announced the appointment of Mauro Governato as General Manager for Hotel de Russie in Rome. Mr. Governato takes over from Stefano Gegnacorsi, who was with the hotel for eight years. Governato has been in the hospitality industry for 29 years. Previously, he was General Manager at the Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon. Bringing a wealth of management experience to his new role, his career has taken him from the Four Seasons Resort Provence a Terre Blanche-France to the One&Only Le Saint Géran (Mauritius) and One&Only Kanuhura (Maldives). Early on, Governato was in the food and beverage industry, working in Michellin-starred restaurants across Europe.

In Rome, Loredana Brescia is the new Director of Sales & Marketing for Jumeirah Grand Hotel Via Veneto. Loredana has 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining Jumeirah, Loredana was Director of Sales and Marketing for NH Lingotto in Turin; she has also worked for Le Meridien and Forte Village Resort in Turin, Rome and Sardinia, and for various tour operators around the world. An Italian national, she is fluent in English, French and Spanish. In her role, Loredana will oversee all marketing, sales and public relations activities for Jumeirah Grand Hotel Via Veneto. Located in the heart of Rome on the exclusive via Veneto, one of Italy’s most legendary streets, Jumeirah Grand Hotel Via Veneto is the union of two 19th century historical buildings in the city centre.
