Mike Vroom has been appointed as Executive Assistant Manager (EAM) Rooms at DUKES Dubai on Palm Jumeirah

Dubai-based luxury property developer and holding company Seven Tides International has named the newest member of its opening executive team with the appointment of Mike Vroom as Executive Assistant Manager – Rooms for its latest five-star hospitality venture, DUKES Dubai on Palm Jumeirah. A graduate of the International Hotel School of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, he will lead the rooms division operation for both the 273-room hotel and 227 hotel apartments, and brings with him extensive experience garnered from key roles in leading luxury properties in his native South Africa. Vroom joins the DUKES team directly from a senior role with a duo of leading South African properties, the luxury boutique Queen Victoria Hotel and Dock House Hotel in Cape Town, where he was resident manager for both locations.

Francisco Giles has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Abu Dhabi

Giles has accrued 30 years of hospitality experience and joins the Hilton team in the capital from the 700 key Park Rotana Complex in Abu Dhabi. Previously, Giles has held general manager roles with Marriott International. Over the course of his career, the joint British-Australian national has worked in a total of five continents. His educational experience includes an Honoury Degree from Les Roches Hotel School in Switzerland, as well as studies at Cornell University in the USA.

Inge Bouwmans has been appointed as Front Office Manager at Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates

Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates welcomed Inge Bouwmans as front office manager, Nafla Nabhan as human resources manager, and Magdalena Wells as training manager. An experienced front office manager in the five-star luxury hotel industry, Bouwmans commenced her career in Spain, before gaining experience in South Africa and China, ahead of her move to Dubai in 2012.

Rami Serhal has been appointed as General Manager at Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi Yas Island

IHG's Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi Yas Island and Staybridge Suites Yas Island has appointed Rami Serhal as their Cluster General Manager. Promoted from his previous position as hotel manager at Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi Yas Island, Serhal brings with him 15 years of experience. After graduating from the American University of Beirut, Rami joined IHG’s flagship property in Beirut; the Intercontinental Phoenicia as Assistant Front Office Manager. Eight years later he moved to Intercontinental Abu Dhabi as Front Office Manager and from their moved to Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi Yas Island where he was promoted twice and was the Hotel Manager for four years. Rami has contributed into the different successes through the past four years at Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi Yas Island and played a vital role in the renovation of several areas at the hotel.
