Dual Branded Courtyard & Residence Inn Opens in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona

Marriott International, Inc. today announced that a combined 120-room Courtyard hotel and 200-suite Residence Inn hotel in downtown Phoenix, Arizona will open today. Located at 132 South Central Avenue, the hotels are owned and managed by Hansji Corporation of Anaheim, California. The 20-story property will share an indoor swimming pool and whirlpool spa, a fitness center and 5,733 square feet of meeting space to accommodate functions of up to 270 people. Each property features custom designed room décor packages that will provide guests with a one of a kind experience.

Hilton Tucson East Hotel Celebrates Its 30-Year Anniversary With $8M Renovation Plan

The $8-million renovation for the Hilton Tucson East was unveiled at a recent celebration commemorating its 30th anniversary. The Tucson Chamber of Commerce, Visit Tucson Tourism along with partners and guests were in attendance to mark this premier full-service business hotel"s three-decade milestone accommodating local and international guests to the Tucson region. Purchased in 2016 by a subsidiary of Caliber Hospitality, LLC, a division of Caliber - The Wealth Development Company and operated by Heavlin Management Company, the hotel is undergoing an extensive property-wide makeover with a contemporary and sophisticated interior design that will elevate the guest experience. Expected hotel renovation completion date is December 2017.

Ryan Fitzgerald has been appointed as Resort Manager at The Arizona Biltmore, A Waldorf Astoria Resort

Most recently, in his role as Hotel Manager of the Loews Philadelphia in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Fitzgerald successfully served as interim General Manager of the 581-key hotel for several months. Under his leadership, the property achieved record breaking guest satisfaction reviews for two years straight. Prior to his time on the mainland, Fitzgerald spent nearly a decade on the Hawaiian Islands. While there he held a variety of executive positions including Hotel Manager of The Kahala Hotel & Resort in Honolulu, where he played an integral role in advancing guest satisfaction scores of the AAA Five Diamond resort, and as Hotel Manager of the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows on the Kohala Coast, where he aided in driving profitability within key departments. Fitzgerald holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and is trained in crisis management and hospitality law. He is an avid fitness fan and in his spare time can often be found on the golf course.

Chuck Kazmer has been appointed as Executive Chef at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North

Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North welcomes Executive Chef Chuck Kazmer, a 25-year veteran of Four Seasons Hotelsand& Resorts, arriving most recently from the brand’s sister property in Amman, Jordan. Kazmer assumes responsibility for the Scottsdale property’s three main restaurants – Talavera, Proof, an American Canteen, and Saguaro Blossom poolside grill – in addition to Onyx Bar & Lounge and all food and beverage service throughout the conference and banquet facilities. Prior to joining the Scottsdale team, Kazmer served as Executive Chef at Four Seasons Hotel Amman, where he was responsible for the property’s seven kitchens and eight restaurant outlets. Kazmer’s crowning achievement while in Amman was opening brasserie La Capitale, a multi-million dollar project, involving a complete restaurant and kitchen concept and design.
