AKA Welcomes Hotel AKA Washington Circle to the DMV Metro Area

AKA, a global leader in luxury hospitality and the creator of the World's Most Livable Hotels® continues to invest in the DMV metro area and today announces the opening of Hotel AKA Washington Circle. The 151-room property is the newest addition to the AKA portfolio after undergoing a full interior design transformation. Globally renowned firm Gensler, the architect of record and design architect, led the redesign of the exterior and reimagined public spaces. Located in the vibrant Foggy Bottom/West End neighborhood, which is situated in downtown Washington, D.C., it's steps away from the nation's top educational and medical institutions such as George Washington University and Hospital, global embassies, as well as historical and cultural landmarks. Hotel AKA Washington Circle represents major growth for AKA, becoming the brand's third property in the Washington D.C. area. Michael Grapkowski has been appointed as Director of Revenue Management at Tempo by Hilton Times Square

Tempo by Hilton Times Square, the first hotel from Hilton's new stylish and contemporary lifestyle brand, Tempo by Hilton, announces the appointment of Michael Grapkowski as Director of Revenue Management. In this position, Grapkowski will manage and maintain group and transient inventory controls, including room accommodation, maximizing revenue and profitability, and helping to develop, monitor, and adjust pricing strategies. The hotel features 661 rooms across 36 floors in the new TSX Broadway building, a 46-story tower featuring the hotel, experiential retail, entertainment spaces, and the historic Palace Theatre. Grapkowski joins Tempo by Hilton Times Square from Hilton's All-Inclusive division.

Danielle Dymond has been appointed as Hotel General Manager at Radio Hotel

Radio Hotel, the first and only full-service boutique hotel in Washington Heights, announced Danielle Dymond as the new Hotel General Manager. In her role, she will serve as the strategic business leader of property operations at the 221-room hotel and be responsible for creating and maintaining a high-performing service culture and managing budgets and reputation. As former Director of Sales & Marketing at Radio Hotel, Danielle will also oversee and execute hotel marketing strategies.

Luis Munoz has been appointed as Director of Food & Beverage at TETRA Hotel, an Autograph Collection Hotel, and AC Hotel® Sunnyvale Moffett Park

Luis Munoz brings nearly two decades of executive management and leadership experience to the TETRA Hotel and AC Hotel Sunnyvale Moffett Park team. His expertise in hospitality spans major Silicon Valley and Bay Area hotel destinations from IHG's Crowne Plaza San Jose to the Hilton Hotel Burlingame, where he served as Director of Operations. He was the Complex Food & Beverage Director for the DoubleTree and upscale Juniper Hotel, a Curio Collection by Hilton property in Cupertino and most recently, the Complex Director of Food & Beverage for the Marriott San Mateo. Here he led a team of 12 managers and 110 staff employees in the food and beverage department and rooms division. His experience with large hotel properties set the stage for his transition to TETRA Hotel and AC Hotel Sunnyvale Moffett Park.

Paul Rohadfox has been appointed as Executive Chef at TETRA Hotel, an Autograph Collection Hotel, and AC Hotel® Sunnyvale Moffett Park

After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Paul Rohadfox enrolled in the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) at Hyde Park, New York to pursue a career in the hospitality industry. Career opportunities took him to the west coast, where he gained valuable experience in Executive Chef positions at hotel properties from the San Francisco Bay Area to Silicon Valley to Palm Springs. He was part of the opening team for the revival of the historic Riviera Hotel in Palm Springs, the Executive Chef for Michael Mina's former Arcadia Steakhouse at the Marriott San Jose, and most recently the Executive Chef of the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara. Eager to take on the challenge of running a hotel campus, Paul joined the TETRA Hotel and AC Hotel Sunnyvale Moffett Park team in early 2024, excited to add his influence to the restaurants, bars and create lasting experiences for guests. He credits his Marine Corps values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment in delivering memorable dining experiences.

Jon Benson has been appointed as General Manager at Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa

Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa, Surf City's premier oceanfront destination resort, today announces the appointment of Jon Benson as General Manager. Benson will return to oversee operations of the 519-room property, where he once previously served as Director of Food & Beverage and led the opening of the resort's signature restaurant, Watertable, in 2014.With over 35 years of experience at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Benson has held positions in 13 hotels and five years in its corporate office. Benson comes to Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach from Hana-Maui Resort, a Destination by Hyatt property, where he served as General Manager since 2020. Starting his career in culinary as a third shift room service cook, Benson ascended to become Executive Chef at five resorts and eventually took the role of Corporate Director of Culinary Operations for the Americas, overseeing more than 130 Hyatt hotels in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. Always aspiring to be a General Manager, Benson assumed this position at Hyatt Centric Key West in 2015. Benson has also served as General Manager at Park Hyatt Washington D.C., Hyatt Regency Long Beach and Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach before his most recent role at Hana-Maui Resort.
