John Imaizumi has been appointed as Managing Director at Omni Dallas Hotel

The Omni Dallas Hotel announced today the appointment of John Imaizumi as managing director. With more than 25 years of hospitality industry experience and a proven track record of executive management leadership, Imaizumi will oversee all aspects of marketing, sales and operations for the No. 1 rated four-star luxury hotel in Dallas-Fort Worth, according to U.S. News & World Report. Imaizumi will report to Omni Hotels & Resorts Vice President of Operations, Andrew Casperson.

Mike Woodfin has been appointed as Director of Sales at Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Frisco

John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts (JQH) has appointed Mike Woodfin to director of sales at the Springfield, Missouri-based company’s newly renovated Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Frisco Hotel, Convention Center & Spa located north of Dallas near the $5 Billion Mile development. Woodfin previously served as director of sales for JQH’s Courtyard by Marriott Dallas Allen at the John Q. Hammons Center, also located in a suburb north of Dallas in Texas. Prior to returning to JQH’s Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Frisco, Woodfin served as director of sales at JQH’s Courtyard by Marriott Dallas Allen at the John Q. Hammons Center for nearly three years. At JQH’s 228-room/suite Dallas Allen property, Woodfin oversaw a sales team that exceeded overall revenue goals, including the hotel’s achieving its best catering year in 2016. His hospitality career also includes serving as group sales manager for the Omni Dallas Hotel at Park West in Dallas, where he was named a member of Omni’s President Circle for exceeding sales goals for three consecutive years. He also worked as director of audio visual at PSAV Presentation Services in Dallas, where his clients included large hotels in the Dallas area. Woodfin graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He is active in the professional and civic communities and has served as a board member of the Dallas Fort Worth Association Executives and for the Frisco Family YMCA, where he was Chair of the Leadership Committee.

Ray DeJohn has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Hotel Granduca Austin

DeJohn was promoted to director of sales & marketing, where he will lead the sales and catering team, create and support strategic initiatives to maintain and increase hotel sales, and manage corporate and consortia markets. DeJohn joined Hotel Granduca Austin in 2015 as sales manager, part of the pre-opening team, where he was responsible for building corporate and leisure travel programs for the upscale hotel in the Westlake area of Austin. Prior to Hotel Granduca Austin, DeJohn served as sales manager for DoubleTree by Hilton. He also worked with Morgans Hotel Group as group sales manager and is a member of The Global Business Travel Association.

Michael McGilligan has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Anatole

Michael D. McGilligan has joined Hilton Anatole as its new General Manager. He comes to the landmark Dallas hotel having most recently served as General Manager of the 860 room Hilton Chicago O’Hare Airport, where in 2016 he was honored as the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association’s Hotelier of the Year. Prior to moving to Chicago, he was General Manager at Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centre from 2009-2014.A 27-year veteran of the hospitality industry, McGilligan began his career in the Philadelphia Regional Accounting office of Guest Quarters Suites. Subsequently, he served in management positions of increasing responsibility with both DoubleTree by Hilton and Embassy Suites by Hilton in Washington D.C. before being named Hotel Manager of the Embassy Suites-World Financial Center, now Conrad New York. From New York, Michael assumed his first General Manager role at the Embassy Suites by Hilton San Diego-La Jolla until becoming General Manager of Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centre.

Kelley Roby has been appointed as Director of Catering and Events at Hilton Dallas/Park Cities

Roby has eight years of experience in catering, events and marketing, and most recently served more than four years at the Warwick Melrose Hotel in Dallas as the associate director of catering and social catering manager. In this role, she was named “Manager of the Year” for 2013, and also set the record for most social catering revenue secured by a manager in the hotel’s history for 2014-2016. Roby graduated from Southern Methodist University in Texas with a bachelor’s degree in corporate communications and public affairs. The Commodore Perry Estate in Austin, a redevelopment project slated for 2019 Opening

Auberge Resorts Collection, owner and operator of award-winning boutique luxury resorts, residences and clubs, has been selected to manage the Commodore Perry Estate, a small luxury hotel to be developed on the historic "Commodore" Perry Estate in Central Austin. The property is being developed by an ownership team led by Austin-based developers Clark Lyda, The Marchbanks Company and Austin Pfiester. Woodbine Development Corporation is providing project management services. The project's creative team spearheading the redevelopment is comprised of internationally-renowned urbanist Stefanos Polyzoides of Moule & Polyzoides from Pasadena, California, and renowned interior designer Ken Fulkfrom San Francisco, collaborating with Austin-based Clayton & Little Architects and Ten Eyck Landscape Architects.
