Lynval Miller has been appointed as Director of Human Resources at The Heldrich

Lynval Miller brings 22 years of professional experience to his new position at The Heldrich. He was previously director of human resources for the Westminster Hotel of Livingston, New Jersey, while simultaneously serving as regional director of human resources for properties in New York City and Atlanta.During Super Storm Sandy, one of the worst natural disasters in New Jersey's history, Mr. Miller held the position of disaster case management coordinator for the State. In this role he was responsible as a contractor with FEMA to make sure the State's Disaster Relief Centers were adequately staffed with disaster case managers. He has also served as director of human resources for the Grand Summit Hotel located in Summit, New Jersey.Mr. Miller is a graduate of Seton Hall University where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Management. He has previously served as a New Jersey State Certified Firefighter. Lynval Miller resides in Mount Olive with his family.

Ocean Resort Casino to Join The Unbound Collection by Hyatt

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) and AC Ocean Walk today announced that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a franchise agreement with AC Ocean Walk for the 1,399-room Ocean Resort Casino located at 500 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, N.J. The $3 billion landmark property, which was recently acquired by AC Ocean Walk, will join The Unbound Collection by Hyattbrand, Hyatt"s growing collection of unique and independent stay experiences. The resort will be situated on 20 acres on the famed Atlantic City Boardwalk, and at 710 feet and 60 stories tall, will be the tallest structure in Atlantic City. It is expected to open in summer 2018 and will be operated by AC Ocean Walk.

Kevin Cushing has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at The Claridge - A Radisson Hotel

Kevin Cushing comes to The Claridge with years of in-depth experience in the Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey market. His credits include successful sales and marketing positions with such major brands as Hilton, Sheraton, Westin and Best Western Plus. He was responsible for sales at three Philadelphia conference center properties: Four Points by Sheraton, Days Inn and the opening of the Best Western Conference Center.

John Lowe has been appointed as General Manager at The Claridge - A Radisson Hotel

Mr. Lowe's resume spans leadership positions in operations, food and beverage, finance and conference management. He began his career in various area hotels and restaurants, holding management positions at the Wyndham Franklin Plaza in Philadelphia, DoubleTree Suites by Hilton in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. at the Hilton Wilmington/ Christiana in Newark, Delaware and the Crowne Plaza Wilmington. As an executive for Meyer Jabara Hotels, he served as General Manager of The Holiday Inn Lehigh Valley Conference Center and Area General Manager of Harbor Magic Hotels in Baltimore. More recently, he served as general manager of the Westin Mount Laurel.

Colin Ankersen has been appointed as General Manager at The Heldrich Hotel & Conference Center

BENCHMARK®, a global hospitality company, has named Colin Ankersen general manager for The Heldrich, a Benchmark Resorts & Hotels property located in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Greg Champion, Benchmark’s president & COO, made the announcement. Prior to joining Benchmark, Colin Ankersen was vice president of Boast Management and general manager at the Westminster Hotel, located in Livingston, New Jersey. He previously served as general manager for the landmark Westin Governor Morris in Morristown, New Jersey. Earlier Mr. Ankersen was a managing director for Restaurant Associates, overseeing all combined hospitality services supporting the Royal Bank of Scotland Headquarters, Stamford, Connecticut. Colin Ankersen is a native of Denmark. He graduated from Oklahoma State University Hospitality Program. Mr. Ankersen resides in Stockholm, New Jersey.

Grand Opening of SpringHill Suites by Marriott Mt. Laurel

The newly opened SpringHill Suites by Marriott Mt. Laurel marked its official grand opening on September 28th with a ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by a reception, and led property tours to give those in the Mt Laurel / Burlington County community a glimpse of what the new hotel has to offer. The 135-suite hotel, developed and owned by High Hotels Ltd of Lancaster, PA, is located at 5000 Midlantic Drive in Mt Laurel, New Jersey in the Laurel Corporate Center. The property offers guests convenient access to nearby businesses, attractions, and services, including four adjacent restaurants.

Bryan Lowe has been appointed as Area Director of Finance. at Benchmark

Barry Goldstein has been appointed as Chief Marketing Officer at Wyndham Worldwide

Wyndham Worldwide revealed executive leadership appointments for the new, publicly traded pure-play hotel company to be created by the 2018 spin-off from Wyndham Worldwide. Mary Falvey, currently serves as EVP and chief human resources officer at Wyndham Worldwide. Falvey will assume this role immediately in addition to her current role at Wyndham Worldwide.

BENCHMARK®, a global hospitality company, has named Juan R. Vicioso, Jr., director of sales & marketing for The Heldrich, a Benchmark Resorts & Hotels property located in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Stacy Thaler Martin, general manager, made the announcement. Juan Vicioso brings to The Heldrich 20 years of hospitality experience with a focus on sales and marketing. For the past 12 years he has been a sales leader with Starwood Hotels and Resorts, concentrating on the New York City market, including serving as director of catering and convention services for the W New York and associate director of catering for the Westin Times Square. While with Starwood, Mr. Vicioso received five Top Sales Incentive Awards and with his team won the Starwood Sales Team of the Year for both 2006 and 2014. Earlier in his hospitality career, Vicioso worked in sales leadership positions for properties in Washington, DC. He launched his career at New York’s Waldorf Astoria. Mr. Vicioso is a second generation hotelier, as his father worked with such legendary properties as New York’s Essex House and the Plaza Hotel, as well as the Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic. Juan Vicioso is a graduate of the University of Southern New Hampshire where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He resides in Bloomfield, New Jersey.

Michael D. Brown has been appointed as President and CEO at Wyndham Vacation Ownership

Wyndham Worldwide (NYSE: WYN) has announced the appointment of Michael D. Brown as president and chief executive officer of Wyndham Vacation Ownership effective immediately. Most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer of Hilton Grand Vacations (NYSE: HGV), Brown brings more than 25 years of experience leading a diverse range of asset management and vacation ownership sales functions. Brown will report to Wyndham Worldwide Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Stephen P. Holmes, who has been serving as interim leader of the business since the start of the year. Orlando-based Wyndham Vacation Ownership is the world leader in timeshare development, sales, and management with 219 resorts and over 887,000 owners globally. Prior to serving as HGV’s chief operating officer, Brown led its domestic sales organization, which nearly doubled its sales revenue under his leadership. Brown joined HGV in 2008 after serving in a series of sales, development, operations, and finance leadership roles across the U.S., Europe and the Caribbean for more than 16 years at Marriott International and Marriott Vacation Club International.
