AJ Capital Partners Acquires The Kingsgate Marriott Conference Center At The University Of Cincinnati In Cincinnati, Ohio

Adventurous Journeys (AJ) Capital Partners announced today that it has acquired the Kingsgate Marriott in Cincinnati, Ohio. The hotel will run independent of any affiliation through February 2020. A comprehensive renovation will begin in November to convert the hotel to Graduate Cincinnati, part of the Graduate Hotels® collection. The 206-room hotel is ideally positioned on the University of Cincinnati campus.

Kevin Ball, Assistant General Manager - Before taking on the role, Kevin spent more than 20 years as a chef and food and beverage leader in numerous hotel brands and private clubs. For seven years, he ran the member and player hospitality tent at Augusta National Golf Club for the Masters Tournament. He serves as a member the American Culinary Federation's apprenticeship committee.

Scott Starek, General Manager - Scott has been working at Marriott properties for nearly 15 years. He has spent time in Phoenix, AZ, St. Louis, MO and Cleveland, OH with Renaissance, Marriott Hotels & Resorts and Courtyard properties. This will be the third opening that he's been a part of and he feels each opening is more exciting than the last.

Michael Howe has been appointed as Director of Hotel Operations at Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Center

Hartmut Ott, general manager at the Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Center,1360 W Mall Dr., announced today that Michael Howe has been named director of hotel operations. In this position, Howe will assist Ott in managing all aspects of the multi-million-dollar renovation currently underway at the hotel. The extensive renovation of the property's public spaces, including the front desk, lobby, meeting and event space, as well as the spa and restaurant is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2018. He also will oversee the entire room, food & beverage divisions, which represent the vast majority of the hotel's employees. These divisions include the front desk, housekeeping, new great room, new market/pantry, new M-Club, the banquet operation in the hotel's new meeting space, as well as the culinary team.

Hartmut Ott has been appointed as General Manager at Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Center

Hartmut Ott was appointed general manager of the Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Center, 1360 W Mall Dr. With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Ott will oversee all aspects of the property including an extensive renovation currently underway of the property"s public spaces, which include the front desk, lobby, meeting and event space, as well as the spa and a redefined restaurant that is soon to take shape.  A native of Munich, Germany, Ott most recently served as Director of Operations at the Westin Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Prior to that, Ott was Hotel Manager of Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel Chicago, General Manager of Four Points by Sheraton San Rafael, San Rafael, Calif, Director of Rooms at Cavallo Point Lodge; Sausalito, Calif.; and General Manager of Seven Gables Inn, located in Pacific Grove, Calif. In addition, Ott also worked at the Ritz Carlton, New Orleans, Louisiana, Kapalua in Maui, Hawaii as well as San Francisco, California. Ott received his Master"s Certificate in Hospitality Management from Cornell University"s renowned school of Hotel Administration. He is also an Honorary Commander in the United States Air Force. Ott looks forward to being involved in the vibrant business and civic community that Cleveland has to offer. He and his wife, Laura, reside in the greater Cleveland area.
