Susan Barnes brings nearly 30 years of extensive sales and operations experience to Turtle Bay Resort. Her career started at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where she progressed to Director of Sales, a title she brought to the renowned La Quinta Resort near Palm Springs, CA. Susan became Regional Sales Director at Miraval Resort before starting a 21-year tenure with KSL resorts, where she won the Sales Superstar Award for 18 of those years. As Global Sales Director - Midwest & Incentives for KSL Resorts, Susan was the brand ambassador who led efforts to expand new business opportunities and develop existing partnerships across a portfolio of 24 resorts worldwide. As Director of Incentive Sales at Turtle Bay Resort, Susan will be responsible for soliciting and managing group business in the Midwest and Incentive market while delivering outstanding service.

Rainell Mano has been appointed as Director of Sales & Events at Turtle Bay Resort

Hailing from neighboring island Lana'i, Rainell brings over 20 years of expertise in sales, marketing, and business event management to Turtle Bay Resort with a proven track record of curating unforgettable experiences rooted in the essence of the āina. Her career began in 1999 at the prestigious Starwood Luxury collection of Manele Bay Hotel and the Lodge at Koele before joining the Four Seasons Rebranding Team on Lana'i from 2003-2006. Subsequently, Rainell held management and leadership positions at Sheraton Maui, Fairmont Kea, Four Seasons Wailea, Wailea Beach Resort, Island Knot Weddings, Studio V Events, and most recently, as the General Manager and Managing Director of PRA Business Events, Hawaiʻi's West Region. In 2019, Rainell was the Vice President of membership for Meeting Planner International's Aloha Chapter. Throughout her career, Rainell Mano has immersed herself in diverse branding cultures, destination management companies (DMC), and non-traditional marketing opportunities. As Rainell assumes the role of Director of Sales and Events at Turtle Bay Resort, she brings with her a wealth of hospitality experience, a deep appreciation for Hawaiʻi's rich cultural heritage, and a passion for creating extraordinary guest experiences.

Tipoti started her career at Turtle Bay Resort where she spent more than 15 years, growing from conference concierge into positions such as conference service manager and banquet manager before being promoted to director of catering and convention services and assistant director of food and beverage.

Jon Itoga has been appointed as Hotel Manager at Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa

Hotel manager Jon Itoga is a seasoned professional with more than 10 years experience in the hospitality industry. In his new role, Itoga will be charged with overseeing the operations, events, and food and beverage teams, ensuring that all facets of the resort work together smoothly and efficiently to deliver a quality guest experience. Most recently, Itoga served as AVP of operational finance for Marriott Vacation Worldwide Aqua-Aston, working closely with 15 properties in Hawaii to achieve improved financial returns. Prior, Itoga was the director of finance for the celebrated Turtle Bay Resort, where he focused on new labor productivity efficiencies that led to over $1 million in savings. Since 2016, Itoga has lectured at University of Hawaii on subjects such as hospitality accounting, food services management, statistics for decision making, and strategic management.
