Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group Announces Radisson Has Become the Leading International Upscale Brand in Brazil

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the world’s largest and most dynamic hotel groups unveiled today the addition of the Radisson Hotel Rio de Janeiro and the Radisson Hotel São Paulo Vila Olimpia, opening in Brazil during the first quarter of 2014. The addition of the two hotels will elevate the group’s status as the largest international upscale operator in the country with 10 hotels and more than 1,800 rooms in operation.

IHG Expands the Holiday Inn Express® Brand in Brazil

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) today announces that the Holiday Inn Express®brand is expanding in Brazil with the openings of theHoliday Inn Express®Belem-Ananindeuahotel, the Holiday Inn Express®Porto Velho hotel and the Holiday Inn Express®Marilia hotel expected to open later this year. Radisson strengthens presence in Brazil with major hotel signing in Porto Alegre, a top cultural and economic center

Radisson, one of the world’s best-recognized hotel brands, today announced the signing of the Radisson Porto Alegre, Brazil with an expected opening of Oct. 31, 2013. A mulit-million dollar renovation is planned for the 132-room designer hotel. Hyatt Announces a Third Hyatt-Branded Hotel in Colombia

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management agreement with Fideicomiso FAFP-Promover-Hotel Cali- Fiduciaria del País S.A. for a Hyatt Regency hotel in Santiago de Cali, Colombia. This agreement marks the third Hyatt-branded hotel under development in Colombia, joining Grand Hyatt Bogota and Hyatt Regency Cartagena, which are both slated to open in 2016.

IHG Expands the Holiday Inn® Brand in Peru

IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group), continues to increase the Holiday Inn® brand’s footprint in Latin America with the signing of the new-build Holiday Inn Lima Airport hotel. The $24 million hotel will be located adjacent to the city’s Jorge Chavez International Airport, and is being developed by the Pinasco family, who will also manage the hotel under the Operaciones Turisticas Peruanas S.A.C. entity. The organization has been working with IHG for many years and also owns and manages the Crowne Plaza® Lima hotel.

Hyatt to Debut All-Inclusive Brands in Mexico in Q4 2013

Hyatt Hotels Corporation today announced the first two Hyatt-branded all-inclusive resorts, currently THE ROYAL Cancún and Barceló Los Cabos, will be rebranded as Hyatt Zilara Cancún and Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos in Q4 2013. Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall, Jamaica, formerly the Ritz Carlton Golf Resort & Spa, Rose Hall, Jamaica will open in early 2014. Each resort will undergo a multimillion dollar renovation as part of its rebranding.

New Holiday Inn Express® Hotel Breaks Ground in Xalapa, Mexico with an Owner Investment of Over $6 Million

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and Selfi Grupo Operador de Estacionamientos, S.A. de C.V., recently celebrated the ground break on April 22nd of the Holiday Inn Express® Hotel Xalapa. Prominent personalities who attended the ground-breaking ceremony included José Antonio Mansur Beltrán, Federal Delegate of the Economy Ministry, (SE), Carlos Canales Freeman, Chairman State of the Association of Industrial of the State of Veracruz A.C. (Aievac), members of Congress of State and executives, and members of the construction company GILCA among others. Slated to open summer 2014, the construction of this hotel is expected to generate at least 150 direct and 300 indirect jobs.
