Wyndham Hotels to Offer Allergy-Friendly Rooms and Meeting Spaces

Health-conscious travelers – especially those suffering from allergies and asthma – may breathe easier at Wyndham® hotels thanks to the upscale chain’s new Wyndham ClearAir(sm) initiative to offer allergy-friendly guest accommodations. While eight Wyndham hotels offer the rooms today, all will be required to convert 10 percent of their room inventory or a minimum of 25 rooms into allergy-friendly environments by the end of 2009. Wyndham Hotels and Resorts is the first national upscale lodging chain to mandate allergy-friendly rooms systemwide.

InterContinental Hotels Group and American Hotel Development Partners Dedicate First White Oak in Honor of Upcoming Hotelier Lost to Cancer

On April 14, Clyde J. Harris, III, and his company, American Hotel Development Partners (AHDP), will commemorate the first White Oak tree which is to be planted at the company's new Candlewood Suites hotel in Columbia, S.C., in honor of his son, Clyde J. Harris, IV, who in 2006 at the age of 35, passed away after a three year battle with tongue and neck cancer.

Days Inns - Canada Fundraiser Results Exceed Goal

Days Inns Canada recently unveiled the results of its 2007 fundraising campaign with the announcement of a $43,000 donation to the Childhood Cancer Foundation - Candlelighters Canada (CCFCC) at the Days Inns Canada Annual Conference held in Vancouver. Hotel owners donated a portion of their revenue for one week in September and collected donations from staff and guests to help fund research to find a cure for all forms of childhood cancer.
