Kempinski Opens Olare Mara Kempinski, Masai Mara Tented Camp

Kempinski Hotels today opened the doors (or rather tent flaps) to its all-inclusive Olare Mara Kempinski, Masai Mara Tented Camp. As the company's first property in Kenya, the Camp is located in the Olare Orok Conservancy Masai Mara, a one hour flight from Nairobi or 90 minutes from Mombasa. The Masai Mara is a large game reserve that stretches 1,510 sq km (580 sq miles) and rises 1,500- 2,170 metres above sea level. The terrain is primarily grassland and forest with clumps of distinctive acacia trees. Famous for the abundance of lions, the great wildebeest migration and the homeland of the Masai people, the Camp will allow guests to experience Africa at its finest.

Marriott International Fuels Development in Africa with Educational Partnership

As Marriott International (NYSE: MAR) increases its presence in Africa more than six fold from eight to 50 hotels by 2020, it anticipates hiring nearly 10,000 employees, the majority of whom will be local residents. Committed to investing in communities where it builds hotels, Marriott is partnering with The Akilah Institute for Women (Akilah) to educate and train 15 young women in Rwanda to work in the hotel industry, and ultimately to help open the Kigali Marriott Hotel as supervisors in late 2013. Sofitel to Open the 171-key Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche in Morocco

The glass building designed by Belgian architect Patrick Guénard reflects the breath of modernity that the country's largest city is currently experiencing. Selman Marrakech: Not only for hot-blooded Arabian horses

The hotel construction boom in Dubai or Shanghai is fascinating. But even more exciting is what is currently happening in Marrakech. In this traditional holiday destination 19 new hotels are under current construction and development. Among those luxury Selman Marrakech Resort with just 56 rooms and suites (TOPHOTELPROJECTSNr. 12924) and scheduled to open in May stands out. The design by French architect Jacques Garcia has been influenced by some rather unusual guests: Arab thoroughbred horses. 16 of those hot-blooded horses – all of them privately owned – are housed in the resort's stables.
