Swiss-Belhotel International strengthen its presence in East Indonesia with the launch of Swiss-Belcourt Makassar

Swiss-Belhotel International launches its second Swiss-Belcourt brand in Makassar, Indonesia, on Sunday, 28 August 2022. Formerly known as M Boutique hotel, the hotel has been through a face-lift and will be re-opened as Swiss-Belcourt Makassar. It is a 10-minute drive to favourite tourist sites in the city, including Losari Beach, and 15 minutes to Fort Rotterdam. It is close to the business, trading, shopping, and culinary districts, and only 29 minutes from Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport in Maros, South Sulawesi.

Centara and Baansuay Group sign HMA for first property in Surat Thani

Centara Hotels & Resorts, Thailand's leading hotel operator and Baansuay Group (Suratthani) PCL. announced the signing of a Hotel Management Agreement (HMA) for Centra by Centara Hotel Surat Thani. Senior executives from the two companies officially executed the agreement at a signing ceremony held recently at Centara's flagship Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld. The largest of Thailand's southern provinces, Surat Thani is a main transit point for travellers en route to some of the Kingdom's most famous islands, including Koh Samui and Koh Phangan. The project comprises the complete renovation of an existing low-rise hotel, with work currently underway and an anticipated opening date of 1st July 2023, which includes the renovation of 110 rooms, all-day dining Dim Sum restaurant, casual in-style Japanese restaurant and meeting room. The completion of a second phase is expected in early 2025, which will see the construction of a new building to house additional facilities including large function room, fitness centre and swimming pool.

Centara Adds Hotel in Chiang Mai to Expanding Portfolio

Centara Hotels & Resorts, Thailand's leading hotel operator and Chiangmai Riverside Plaza Hotel Co., Ltd. announce the signing of a Hotel Management Agreement (HMA) for Centara Riverside Hotel Chiang Mai. Senior management teams from the two companies officially executed the agreement at a signing ceremony held at Centara Grand at CentralWorld recently. The latest signing is the first following the announcement by Centara of its bold expansion plans, which will help the group reach its goal of becoming a top 100 global hotel operator within five years. Located next to Ping River close to the Old Town, the existing 27-storey hotel will be rebranded Centara Riverside Hotel Chiang Mai from 1st April 2022 onwards.

Outrigger to Acquire Five-Star Resort in the Maldives

Outrigger Hospitality Group announced today that it is acquiring the newly renovated five-star Maafushivaru Resort in the Maldives - adding another premier beach property to its expanding global portfolio as early as 1 April, 2022. The luxury resort will be renamed Outrigger Maldives Maafushivaru Resort and is located on a private island in the pristine South Ari Atoll region, a 25-minute seaplane flight from Malé - offering convenient access and breathtaking views for arriving guests. The resort is comprised of a collection of 81 luxury villa styles including beach, pool and duplex accommodations, as well as coveted overwater bungalows and more.
