The Social Hub Secures Approval for Innovative Renewable Energy Solution on Rooftop in Eindhoven

The Social Hub today announces that the Municipality of Eindhoven has granted approval for a ‘PowerNEST’ wind and solar solution to be built on the roof of The Social Hub Eindhoven. The 630m2 structure is expected to provide 17% of energy needed for the hotel, student accommodation and co-working space. The first conversations between The Social Hub, IBIS Power and the municipality of Eindhoven began in 2021. The City of Eindhoven has now approved a PowerNEST by Ibis Power to upgrade the building to renewable energy.

Winners Of 2022 UNWTO Students’ League-Switzerland Announced

The competition for undergraduates, organized with the support of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), attracted students from leading educational institutions from across Switzerland. Malága Joins UNWTO’s International Network of Sustainable Tourism Observatories

Málaga is the main coastal city in Andalusia with tourism as one of the most important pillars of its economy. Prior to the pandemic, in 2019, the city welcomed a total of 1.4 million overnight visitors, making it the fourth most visited destination in Spain. To strengthen the city’s ability to guide the sector towards greater sustainability, the creation of a Sustainable Tourism Observatory was agreed and linked to the tourism strategy of Malaga for 2021-24. The observatory will provide regular data and timely analysis across economic, environmental and social areas for evidence-based decision making and to ensure that tourism in Málaga is developing in a sustainable and responsible manner.
