Kristofer Bremstrom has been appointed as Director of Food & Beverage at Le Méridien Abu Dhabi

Le Méridien Abu Dhabi hotel has appointed Kristofer Bremstrom as its new director of food and beverage. He joins from Sheraton Hotel Stockholm, Sweden, where he has had various roles since 2010 and was in charge of the F&B and banquet operations. Bremstrom holds a masters degree Stockholm University, School of Business and is a keen sportsman. He was previously a cyclist from 1992 to 2001 and was also part of the Swedish National Cycling Team from 1998 to 2000.

Desmond Hatton has been appointed as General Manager at Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi

In his new role, Hatton will be in charge of overseeing the performance, strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the luxury hotel. Bringing with him a wealth of experience collected over 34 years, Hatton, who is from from Ireland, has held progressive management roles within leading hotels and resorts throughout this career. He has worked at Shangri-La resorts in Fiji, Malaysia and Philippines as well as at Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa in Oman. Adding to this, his industry experience has also included multiple hospitality disciplines in kitchen, F&B, rooms and accounting in Germany, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia and Turkey. Prior to his new position, he most recently served as the general manager at Dusit Thani Maldives.

Guido Bayley has been appointed as Cluster General Manager at Radisson Blu Hotel and Park Inn by Radisson Abu Dhabi Yas Island

Guido Bayley has been appointed the new cluster general manager for the Radisson Blu Hotel Abu Dhabi Yas Island and the Park Inn by Radisson Abu Dhabi Yas Island. A highly experienced hospitality professional, Bayley joins from the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel, London where he has been the general manager for the last five years. Bayley has been with the Rezidor Hotel Group for the last 18 years and has worked in six different countries including South Africa, Hungary and Germany. He brings a wealth of knowledge, particularly in the opening of new hotels, having opened a number of new properties globally. He also has a solid base in food and drink, an area he will be developing for the two hotels.

Lennart Maas has been appointed as Hotel Manager at Jannah Burj Al Sarab

Jannah Hotels and Resorts group has appointed a hotel manager for its Jannah Burj Al Sarab hotel in Abu Dhabi. The new Manager, Lennart Maas said he was pleased to join the hotel , which he said is part of one of the most successful hotel groups. Mr. Maas, a Dutch national, has been in the hotel industry for many years after obtaining a Bachelors Degree from The Hague - a renowned Dutch Hotel School. He started his career in Food & Beverage departments of luxury resorts such as the Gleneagles Resort in Scotland. He then pursued his career in the rooms division department by working in the Front Office and Housekeeping departments with Starwood Hotels & Resorts. During his time with Starwood in Brussels, Belgium, he has participated in the corporate leadership development program of the company.After two years, he moved to Abu Dhabi to experience the pre - opening of the Anantara Eastern Mangroves Hotel, where he has held the position of Executive Housekeeper and has participated in the corporate leadership development program of the company. Before becoming Hotel Manager of the Jannah Burj Al Sarab, he had strengthened his pre -opening skills by assisting with the opening of the iconic Banana Island Resort by Anantara in Doha, Qatar.

Urs Solenthaler has been appointed as Deputy General Manager at Le Royal Meridien Abu Dhabi

Solenthaler spent the last three years working with Shangri­La Hotels & Resorts, with his most recent posting in Manila as resident manager. Prior to that he was executive assistant manager food and beverage at Shangri­La Hotel Jakarta.Before joining Shangri­La, Solenthaler was executive assistant manager F&B and director of F&B at Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh. He also worked in Singapore at Sentosa Resort & Spa, and Goodwood Park Hotel, where he was executive chef. Solenthaler began his career in hospitality in 1986 as a kitchen apprentice with Hilton Worldwide in Zurich and worked through the ranks at hotels in Geneva, London, Singapore and China.

Christophe Gavois has been appointed as Executive Chef at Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi

French-born Christophe brings with him more than 20 years’ experience from all over the globe, having worked in the hotel industry in London, Palm Beach, Dublin, Cairo, Hampshire, Abu Dhabi and Ajman. In an impressive career that has seen Christophe working in luxury hotels for international chains Four Seasons and Sheraton, he has amassed culinary experience in European, French, in particular Provençale, Caribbean, Asian and Middle Eastern cuisines.
