Bloom Holding signs a new agreement with Rotana

Leading real estate development company, Bloom Holding, has signed an agreement with Rotana Hotel Management Corporation, to manage Bloom Arjaan by Rotana located in Bloom's prestigious Park View development on Abu Dhabi's Saadiyat Island. Commanding a prominent location in the heart of the capital's cultural district, and across from the world-renowned New York University Abu Dhabi, there will be a range of apartments available - from studios to two-bedroom apartments.

Firas Sharrouf has been appointed as General Manager at Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche

Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche has brought in a new general manager. Firas Sharrouf steps into the top position with 20 years of hospitality experience behind him, most of which has been in the emirates. Prior to taking his current role as the general manager of Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche, Sharrouf had worked at Fairmont Marina Hotel and Residences. Initially, started as director of operations and later as interim general manager for four years where he focused on project management and directed the team to establish the opening of the Fairmont Residences. Alongside his role as preopening interim general manager, Sharrouf had managed the acquisition of two luxury properties for the company in two different countries within the region. He has served as both the task force GM of Royal Saray Resort managed by Accor in Bahrain, and the La Cigale Hotel managed by Accor in Qatar.

One of Abu Dhabi's leading hotel owning firms has a new CEO. Klaus Assmann is the new chief executive of Aldar Hotels and Hospitality - the hospitality division of the publicly listed Aldar Properties. Assmann moves from Dubai to the capital, having been cluster general manager of Fairmont the Palm, Th8, Movenpick JLT and Riva Beach Club. He worked in the cluster for almost two years.

Alessandro Montedoro has been promoted to Director of F&B Operations at The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal

The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal has promoted Alessandro Montedoro to director of F&B operations. The hotel says Montedoro proved his managerial and revenue skills in 2021, leading to the new role. He was executive chef for the past three years, looking after venues such as steakhouse The Forge, Asian restaurant Li Jiang, Italian-themed all-day dining at Giornotte, the lobby lounge Alba, Al Fresco restaurant at the pool, Arabic dining at Mijana, bar Sorso and a healthy café, Dolce.
