Radisson Blu Anaheim announced the appointment of Steve Lindburg as the hotel's general manager. The hotel is anticipated to open September 2020. Lindburg served as general manager for Radisson Blu Minneapolis Downtown since 2013. During that time, he played a key role in re-branding the hotel to a Radisson Blu after its $28 million renovation.

Radisson Blu, the upper upscale hotel brand from Radisson Hotel Group, brings its fourth United States location to Anaheim, Calif. BPM Real Estate Group and Radisson Hotel Group broke ground on the planned four-star, luxury resort hotel on November 30, with plans to open in mid-2020. Prominently located near the Anaheim Resort district on Interstate 5, Radisson Blu Anaheim will be within walking distance to Disneyland resort's east entrance and the soon to be open Star Wars Theme Park, along with many renowned Anaheim event venues. The hotel will support the growth of the Disney experience and complement Anaheim's leadership in the tourism industry.
RobertDouglas announced today that it advised Prospera Hotels in securing a $35 million non-recourse senior mortgage for the refinancing of the Hyatt Place at Anaheim Resort/Convention Center in Anaheim, California. Prospera Hotels is a privately-owned hotel investment, development and management company with a strong presence in the Anaheim market. The fifteen-year, fixed-rate financing was provided by a finance company originating fixed rate loans through a separately managed account with a large domestic life insurance company.

Iommazzo, born and raised in Australia, fell in love with hospitality while originally studying accounting, and although he had a knack for numbers, his true passion rested in the food and service industry. He earned a diploma in 1997 at the International College of Hotel Management in Adelaide, a joint project of the Swiss Hotel Association, Le Cordon Bleu, and the Government of South Australia.While studying for his degree, Iommazzo worked at Hyatt Hotels in Adelaide and Melbourne, and The Regent Hotel Sydney. Upon graduation, he joined the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas. Iommazzo has held several management positions at prestigious hotels in Hawaii and San Diego. He was named General Manager of Makena Beach and Golf Resort in Maui in 2011, and in 2013 as General Manager of The Kahala Hotel and Resort in Honolulu, a five-diamond resort operated by Landmark Hotels Group.
