Ellen joins RoomIt from Expedia, where she was Head of Global Strategic Partnerships for over three years. Prior to that, she was Vice President, Americas Partnerships, Orbitz Partner Network (OPN) at Orbitz Worldwide for almost 11 years. Her RoomIt responsibility will see her lead the market management organization and the newly-created sales effectiveness global supply group. Ellen's focus will be on positioning RoomIt's hotel strategy and driving innovation in hotel supply channels to drive better customer experience. She will report to Shannon Hyland, Senior Vice President of Global Supply, RoomIt by CWT.

Jeff Zidell has been appointed as Senior Vice President and Customer Experience Officer at RoomIt by CWT in Chicago - IL, USA

Jeff joins RoomIt via startup CorePoint Lodging, where he was Senior Vice President, Asset Management. Prior to that, he spent nearly a decade with Hyatt Hotels, where he was SVP, Loyalty Marketing and Partnerships. His multi-industry background within highly competitive industries and rapidly evolving markets, position him well to lead RoomIt across all channels (Online Booking Tools, CWT TMC & RoomIt channels), and head up RoomIt's user experience, marketing and public relations groups. He reports to Dave Falter, President, RoomIt by CWT.

Melissa Bolster has been named Catering and Conference Services Manager at World of Whirlpool

BENCHMARK®, a global hospitality company, has named Melissa Bolster catering and conference services manager for World of Whirlpool, in Chicago. Ms. Bolster's new position represents a promotion for her. Ken Jesina, Benchmark's general manager at World of Whirlpool, made the announcement. Melissa Bolster joined the World of Whirlpool planning team as a Catering and Conference Services Planner two years ago, coming from The Walt Disney World Resort where she was Catering Guest Experience Manager. She previously held multiple roles with White Lodging in Chicago.Ms. Bolster has a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Roosevelt University and is currently working on her CMP designation. She resides in Bloomingdale, Illinois.

Tim Graham has been appointed as Executive Chef at The Thompson Chicago

The Thompson Chicago is pleased to welcome Chef Tim Graham as the hotel's new Executive Chef. In this role, Chef Graham will oversee all culinary operations of the hotel including private events, in-room dining, and the hotel's renowned restaurant, Nico Osteria. Chef Graham joins the Thompson Chicago having served as Executive Chef at several acclaimed Chicago restaurants including Michelin-starred Tru, Paris Club (where Chef Graham was an instrumental member of the team that developed and opened the restaurant) and Travelle at the Langham hotel. Most recently Graham was the executive chef and owner of his own concept, Twain, which paid homage to midwestern cuisine.

Born and raised in Saint Charles, Illinois, Chef de Cuisine Franklin Perdue brings more than 13 years of experience to Boleo, a lively South American-inspired rooftop lounge atop the 15th floor of The Kimpton Gray Hotel in the Loop's Financial District. Chef Franklin's interest in culinary arts started at a young age. Some of his favorite childhood memories involve meal-planning, grocery shopping and cooking family dinners with his father. Chef Franklin credits the time spent alongside his father as fostering his passion to become a professional chef. Prior to joining Boleo, Chef Franklin spent nearly half of his life in various kitchens throughout Illinois, including training at Michelin-starred restaurants in downtown Chicago. As Chef de Cuisine of Boleo, Chef Franklin draws inspiration from his fine dining experience and passion for reading the latest culinary trends. He enjoys creatively infusing global flavors into traditional dishes to offer a more modern, eclectic flare. Chef Franklin resides in the Glencoe suburb of Chicago. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his two daughters, hitting the gym and frequenting the many nature preserves and parks in Illinois.
