Jonilonis executive chef for the Doug Pitcock '49 Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center, a Benchmark Resorts & Hotels property located in College Station, Texas. Greg Stafford, general manager, made the announcement.Jason Jonilonis comes to the Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center with over three decades of distinguished culinary and leadership experience. He was previously director of food and beverage for Benchmark's Stonewall Resort of Roanoke, West Virginia.

Jonathan Chaplowe has been appointed as Director of Human Resources at Doug Pitcock ’49 Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center

BENCHMARK®, a global hospitality company, has named Jonathan Chaplowe director of human resources for the Doug Pitcock '49 Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center, currently under construction in College Station, Texas. The Benchmark Resorts & Hotels property is expected to open in August. Greg Stafford, general manager, made the announcement.

Marcus Latner has been appointed as General Manager at Cavalry Court and The George

Valencia Group has named Marcus Latner as General Manager of Cavalry Court and The George™ hotels in College Station. Latner, who started as a valet parking attendant more than 13 years ago at Valencia Group’s Hotel Valencia Riverwalk in San Antonio, has extensively risen through the ranks, and as general manager will oversee all aspects of property management and guest satisfaction for Cavalry Court, recently opened on November 18, 2016, and The George™, opening in Spring 2017. “Marcus Latner has a proven track record for leading our properties to success. We feel fortunate to have him overseeing our two newest College Station projects from commencement and further unfolding the motor court concept in the Texas market,” said Valencia Group Vice President of Operations Roy Kretschmer.

Lydia Godfrey has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Cavalry Court and The George Hotels

Cavalry Court and The George hotels in College Station, have named Lydia Godfrey as Director of Sales and Marketing. Godfrey will be responsible for the positioning and opening of these two new hotels coming into the College Station market and overseeing the overall strategy and direction of the hotels’ marketing efforts and sales teams.

James Franks has been promoted to General Manager at The Hilton College Station Hotel and Conference Center

Sage Hospitality and the Hilton College Station Hotel and Conference Center are pleased to announce the recent appointment of James Franks as the General Manager of the highly respected Brazos County hotel. Franks was promoted from Hotel Manager after having been with the property for more than four years. Before joining the Hilton College Station in 2008, he opened the Hotel ZaZa and The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center, both in Texas, in various senior leadership roles. His more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry includes 12 years of service to hotels in Texas. “James clearly lives and breathes the ‘Howdy!’ culture that the Hilton is known for,” says Jim Darter, Senior Vice President of the Full Service Division at Sage Hospitality. “He is a tremendous leader and we are highly confident that he has the right skills and attitude to continue to drive excellent results with this hotel and the College Station community.” Franks will be the first new general manager at the Hilton in 18 years following Barron Hobbs.
