Christoph Schmidinger has been promoted to Regional Vice President and General Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong

With William Mackay's recent promotion to the senior operations leadership role based in Singapore, William is passing the baton to another Four Seasons veteran, Christoph Schmidinger, who will assume the position as Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong. Prior to the move to Hong Kong, Christoph held the position as Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel New York, where he has steered the Hotel in becoming the leader in luxury hospitality in New York City. In his 21 years with Four Seasons, before his current posting in the Big Apple in 2004, Christoph was the General Manager at Four Seasons properties in Chicago, Atlanta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta.

Marco Polo Hotels –Hong Kong has appointed Mr. James Ong as General Manager of the three harbourside hotels: Marco Polo Hongkong, Gateway and Prince Hotels. James is no stranger to Marco Polo: in 2007, he was appointed Area General Manager, Southern China based in Marco Polo Shenzhen.Prior to that, he was General Manager of Omni Saigon Hotel for two years, which at the time was also managed by Marco Polo Hotels.

Larry Tchou has been appointed as Senior Advisor – Greater China at Hyatt Hotels Corporation

Larry Tchou, a 44-year Hyatt veteran served as head of ASPAC operations for more than 32 years. Tchou will assume a newly formed position of Senior Advisor – Greater China and will also be based in Hong Kong. In this role, Tchou will assist with the regional leadership transition and provide advice and guidance to the company regarding its efforts in the region, with a special focus on development activities and Hyatt’s activities in China.
