With 13 years of experience in Australia and Asia, James will lead the Sales and Marketing team at the 494 bedroom Grosvenor House on Park Lane and drive sales strategy across all market segments. James held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing at the Renaissance Bangkok prior to his arrival in London and has worked in a variety of markets including Shanghai with Marriott, Hilton Tokyo, Renaissance Seoul in South Korea and the Sydney Harbour Marriott.

Michelle Wharton has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Marriott County Hall

Michelle joins the Marriott County Hall as Director of Sales and Marketing, she begins her new job in a new country having recently moved from Thailand. Michelle has extensive experience in hospitality in locations across the world. She started her Marriott career as a Front Desk Associate in Surfers Paradise, Australia. She quickly drew the attention of managers with her drive, ambition and energy and has progressed up the Marriott Hotels ranks ever since.

Francesco Galletti has been appointed as Director of Food and Beverage at London Marriott Hotel County Hall

Originally from Tuscany, Italy, Franceso began his career in hospitality almost 22 years ago working in hotels in his hometown. In 2002 Francesco moved to Berlin and spent three years as Restaurant Manger for leading Italian hotel brand Jolly Hotels. Francesco moved to London in 2005 and gained various hospitality experiences in renowned hotels including The Langham Hotel where he worked as Food and Beverage Supervisor. He was also employed by Morton’s Exclusive Private Club where he worked as Assistant Restaurant Manager and held Restaurant Manager positions at Avista Fine Dining Restaurant in Mayfair and The Fifth Floor Restaurant at Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge.

Juan Asin has been appointed as General Manager at ME London

Meliá Hotels International has announced the appointment of Juan Asín as the General Manager of ME London. Juan brings 20 years of experience in the hotel industry to the team, having held a number of senior posts, both with Meliá Hotels International and other major companies, such as Park Hyatt and Westin, in London and abroad. Before being appointed this role, Juan worked as the General Manager of Meliá Luxemburg for a number of years and before that, Hotel Manager of Meliá White House. Juan is known for his excellent leadership and motivational skills, always getting the very best from his team. He is results-driven and adapts quickly to any given situation, seeking out solutions, whilst being approachable and seeking support from his team. Juan is a graduate from Cornell University, is fluent in four languages and enjoys cycling and sports in his spare time.

Joseph Winders has been appointed as Head Concierge at InterContinental London Park Lane

In addition, Mr Winders will work closely with a network of InterContinental Concierge throughout the world to ensure a unified travel experience between properties. Mr Winders brings extensive 5 star experience spanning the U.S, China and Europe, and a lifelong passion for hospitality. In addition to winning a host of awards, including Scottish Luxury Hotel Concierge of The Year for two consecutive years and UK Regional Concierge of The Year (Where Magazine), Mr Winders is also heavily involved in the Les Clefs dOr and formerly acted as Chair of the Scottish Regional Committee Society of the Golden Keys.
