Hyatt Announces the Opening of Hyatt Regency Chantilly, France

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced today the opening of Hyatt Regency Chantilly, the ninth Hyatt branded hotel in France. Reminiscent of an 18th-century authentic hamlet, the 211-room property is set along the Nonette River in the historic town of Chantilly. Situated in the tranquil town, only 20 minutes from Charles De Gaulle International Airport and 45 minutes from the center of Paris, the hotel is able to accommodate both business and leisure guests alike.

Yann Gillet has been appointed as General Manager at Hotel Martinez

The Hyatt Group has appointed Yann Gillet as the new general manager of the Hôtel Martinez in Cannes, France.The 49-year-old Bordeaux native has a BTS degree in Hotel Management from the Paris Hotel School/Lycée Jean Drouant, a Master's 1 degree from the Strasbourg Hotel School, and a DESS (Master's 2) degree in Finance from the IAE de Paris business school.Gillet joined the Hyatt Group in 2002, serving as hotel manager at the Hyatt Regency Casablanca until 2007, and then as general manager of the Hyatt Regency Johannesburg until 2011. He moved to India in the same capacity, serving at the Park Hyatt Chennai until 2013 and then at Hyatt Regency Paris - Charles de Gaulle until 2016. Since then, he has taken on the role of general manager at the Grand Hyatt São Paulo.Gillet will take up his position at the Hôtel Martinez on July 15, replacing Alessandro Cresta, who is taking over management of the Hôtel du Palais in Biarritz, another property in the portfolio of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt.

Accor adding new 207-key Mama Shelter in Paris

Hotel Château Opens in the French Loire Valley

Mauro Governato has been appointed as General Manager at The Peninsula Paris

With more than 34 years' experience in the hospitality industry, Governato's most recent position began in 2015 when he was named Senior General Manager for both the Four Seasons Hotel Milan and the Four Seasons Hotel Tunis - following a brief stint at Rocco Forte Hotels' Hotel de Russie in Rome, which began in early 2014. Prior to this appointment, Governato had spent seven years with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, holding General Manager positions at the Four Seasons Ritz Lisbon, Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris, and Four Seasons Resort Provence at Terre Blanche.
