Uday Rao has been named General Manager at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan

Uday was born in India and his name means “sunrise,” honouring the fact that he was born at dawn. When he was 16, he immigrated to San Diego, California. After studying business management in the United States and Tokyo, Japan, he naturally gravitated to the world of hotels. As he explains, “my family is in the hotel business and I practically grew up in hotels.”

Christian Dolenc has been appointed Director of Rooms at the Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta. A German native, Mr Dolenc studied at Cornell University of Hotel Administration in Ithica in the US. Mr Dolenc continued his studies at GIHE in Glion, Switzerland where he completed a Master of Business Administration degree. Holding positions within the luxury hospitality industry for eleven years, Mr Dolenc began his career with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in 2010 at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong as Front Office Manager. Beginning his managerial career in the role of Front Desk Manager in the Rocco Forte Collection at the Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh, Mr Dolenc then joined The Peninsula in Hong Kong as Assistant Front Office Manager.

David's long standing passion for cooking saw him move to Australia at the age of 16 to complete a five year apprenticeship through Sheraton Mirage Gold-Coast, Ana Hotel and the Conrad Jupiters Casino. He has since dedicated his career to expanding his culinary knowledge, travelling around the world to increase his understanding of fine cuisine and he continued to work in various destinations such as the 'Relais & Chateaux' Le Lemuria of Praslin in Seychelles, in New Caledonia, in Bermuda at the Fairmont Southampton as well as the Mayfair in London. Since 2001 he has been a member of L'Acadèmie Culinaire de France and the prestigious Association 'Les Disciples d'Auguste Escoffier'. He is also a member of the Association Culinaire Fran?aise in London, known as the 'Society of Master Chefs'.

Mr Leith comes to the Resort with a Business Studies Bachelor Degree in Tourism. Mr Leith began his hospitality career in 1999 as Assistant Residential Manager for a hotel-style apartment property in New Zealand. Mr Leith’s career continued to progress as he served in various senior management positions in hotels in Fiji, Australia, Turks & Caicos Islands and the Maldives.

He has worked in a number of locations throughout Indonesia and has broad experience in hotel Operational Management, Financial Management and Personnel Management. Debby Thio has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Regent Bali

Originally from Indonesia, Ms. Thio has over 20 years’ experience in international hospitality. Prior to joining Regent Bali, Ms. Thio was Area Director of Sales and Marketing for Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts. During her tenure, she oversaw the 2012 opening of the Banyan Tree Lang Co in Central Vietnam, managed PR and advertising for the brand throughout Southeast Asia, and expanded the sales network in Vietnam. A graduate of the University of Amsterdam where she earned a Master’s Degree in Economics and Marketing, Ms. Thio first gained insight into the international travel scene in the Netherlands before moving to Asia in 1996. Throughout her career Ms. Thio has held senior positions at such prestigious regional properties as Raffles Grand d’Angkor Hotel Siem Reap, COMO Hotels and Resorts Singapore, and Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta.
