Kiran has honed his career with various prestigious brands in India, Australia, Sri Lanka, the Middle East and the Maldives, including Taj Hotels and Resorts, Baros, Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts, and ONYX Hospitality Group before joining Alila Kothaifaru Maldives as one of its first pre-opening team members.

As the General Manager of Alila Kothaifaru Maldives, Alexandre Glauser oversees the highly anticipated official debut of the 80-villa luxury resort. Swiss national Alexandre brings a wealth of expertise in hotel openings and operations in various markets, with his career taking him to Egypt and across Asia-Pacific, including destinations such as the Maldives, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Thailand. Prior to joining Hyatt Hotels & Resorts to take on this role, Alexandre gained experience with luxury hospitality brands ONYX Hospitality Group and Centara Hotels & Resorts.

Michael Vance has been appointed as Regional Director of Sales and Marketing at Six Senses Maldives

Michael brings more than 15 years of international experience in the high-end hospitality sector to his latest role. He spent the last four years as the Head of Sales & Marketing at Perowne International in London, where he oversaw a global portfolio of more than 20 independent luxury hotels, resorts, and lodges. He is no stranger to Six Senses, having previously spent six years as the UK Account Director, taking care of trade partners for Six Senses in this key source market.

Mohamed Ashraf has been appointed as General Manager at Jumeirah Maldives Olhahali Island

To head up the operations of Jumeirah Maldives Olhahali Island, the all-villa resort which opened to guests in October last year, Jumeirah Group has appointed Mohamed Ashraf. Ashraf brings 20 years of experience from across Asia and the Indian Ocean. As a native Maldivian himself, he has earnt a reputation across the archipelago working at islands and luxury resorts for Four Seasons, One & Only Resorts, Anantara and more recently The Nautilus Maldives. Ashraf will oversee the property's 67 villas, Talise spa and dining venues, including Shimmers and Kayto.

Outrigger to Acquire Five-Star Resort in the Maldives

With a broad spectrum of experience across media and communication, Monika brings in over 18 years' of experience to the role. Based at the island, she will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing the resort's marketing, communications and PR strategy. She will be reporting to Roshan Radhay, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Maldives and GCC.Monika holds a bachelors degree in Journalism (H) from the Delhi University, India, and has been associated with leading media publications including Mid Day, Hindustan Times and Peaklife Magazine.In her corporate avatar, specialising in sustainability, she has conceptualised various campaigns with organisations, including Cox and Kings and Vodafone India.In 2015, she pursued her Masters in Photography from the Light and Life Academy in Ooty, India, and has done independent projects with many hotels and restaurants in India, Turkey, U.A.E. and Indonesia, including Shangri-La, Hilton and J.W.Marriott.Before joining the LUX* family, she was working with Reethi Faru Resort, Maldives, in the same capacity.
