Residence Inn by Marriott Welcomes its Largest and Tallest Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road

Residence Inn by Marriott Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, part of the Marriott Bonvoy's portfolio of 30 extraordinary brands, has announced the completion of the hotel's rebranding as Residence Inn by Marriott following its renovation. Enjoying a prime location on Sheikh Zayed Road near the city's key business and leisure attraction such as the Dubai International Financial Centre, Museum of the Future, Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, Emirates Towers, and World Trade Centre, it is the world's largest and tallest hotel to join the Residence Inn by Marriott brand.

Firas Sharrouf has been appointed as General Manager at Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche

Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche has brought in a new general manager. Firas Sharrouf steps into the top position with 20 years of hospitality experience behind him, most of which has been in the emirates. Prior to taking his current role as the general manager of Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche, Sharrouf had worked at Fairmont Marina Hotel and Residences. Initially, started as director of operations and later as interim general manager for four years where he focused on project management and directed the team to establish the opening of the Fairmont Residences. Alongside his role as preopening interim general manager, Sharrouf had managed the acquisition of two luxury properties for the company in two different countries within the region. He has served as both the task force GM of Royal Saray Resort managed by Accor in Bahrain, and the La Cigale Hotel managed by Accor in Qatar.

Originally from Italy, his career as a mixologist has seen him travel across the globe as a bartender and gain a wealth of knowledge that he will be bringing to the property.
