A.J. Clements has been appointed as Food & Beverage Director at Hotel Indigo Tuscaloosa Downtown hotel

Clements as director of food & beverage of the 91-room hotel located at 111 Greensboro Avenue. Hana Colvin has been appointed as Executive Chef at Embassy Suites by Hilton Huntsville Hotel & Spa

John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts (JQH) today announced that Hana Colvin has joined the company as executive chef of the Embassy Suites by Hilton Huntsville Hotel & Spa in Alabama. With a flair for farm-to-table cuisine, Colvin will oversee the food and beverage team at the upscale, 295-suite hotel connected via skybridge to the Von Braun Center. She will supervise the debut of this TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame hotel’s The R. restaurant on October 20. Embassy Suites by Hilton Huntsville is owned and operated by Springfield, Missouri-based JQH, a leading private, independent owner and manager of hotels in the United States, including operating more than 1 million square feet of superb meeting space.

Wesley Ludloff has been appointed as General Manager at Island House Hotel

Atlanta-based Hotel Equities announced Wesley Ludloff as the General Manager of the Island House Hotel, a 161-room beach front, full service property in Orange Beach, Alabama. The hotel begins a comprehensive renovation following the summer season converting to a DoubleTree by Hilton. Located at 26650 Perdido Beach Blvd. in Orange Beach, Alabama, the hotel overlooks sugar sand and the turquoise Gulf in the heart of Orange Beach's finest golf, fishing, restaurant and shopping. Just a short drive from the Pensacola International and Mobile Regional Airports, it is conveniently accessible to both. Mr. Ludloff has responsibility and oversight for the operations, food & beverage, sales & marketing and revenue management strategies of the property. Hotel Equities promoted Mr. Ludloff from his post as the successful General Manager of the Wyndham Garden Hotel. The hotel featured 220 rooms and suites and extensive, flexible meeting space on the East Bank of New Orleans in Metairie, Louisiana. With more than 18 years in the hospitality industry, he joined Hotel Equities in early 2015 from the Hotel Blackhawk, a member of Historic Hotels of America located in Davenport, Iowa, where he served as General Manager of this AAA 4-diamond property. Previously Mr. Ludloff was General Manager of The Mayo Hotel, a member of Historic Hotels of America, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He also served as Quality Assurance Manager and as Director of Food & Beverage with Orient- Express Hotels. A native of Hilo, Hawaii, Mr. Ludloff attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas where he studied Business Administration and Kinesiology before beginning his career in hospitality. Cory Garrison has been appointed as Executive Chef at Grand Hotel Marriott Resort Golf Club & Spa

Plenty of fresh seafood plus other local ingredients, an abundance of seasonings and a bit of Texas swagger can now be found in the executive kitchen at the Grand Hotel Marriott Resort, Golf Club & Spa. The Grand Hotel has named Cory Garrison Executive Chef at the historic resort. Garrison, a Texas native with more than 24 years of culinary experience, came to the Grand Hotel from the Omni Hotel Downtown in Dallas, Texas. After helping his grandmothers cook holiday meals at age 10, Garrison formally joined the culinary industry when he turned 15. From busboy to dishwasher to fry cook in just six months, his career has skyrocketed throughout Texas and Garrison has landed at the Queen of Southern Resorts in Alabama as Executive Chef. Professionally, Garrison has also worked at La Torretta Lake Resort and Spa in Montgomery, Texas; The Gooses Acre in The Woodlands, Texas; Ruffinos Italian Restaurant in Fort Worth, Escargot in Fort Worth; Lola the Restaurant in Dallas and the Melrose Hotel in Dallas.

Todd Scholl has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Hotel at Auburn University

The Hotel at Auburn University is pleased to name Todd Scholl as the new director of sales and marketing. He brings with him nearly 15 years of extensive sales experience from nationally renowned hospitality brands and destination marketing organizations. Prior to joining The Hotel at Auburn University, Scholl served as the director of sales and marketing for the Hotel Sorella Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri. He was also the director of the sales and marketing departments for the Elms Hotel & Spa in Excelsior Springs, Missouri and the Hyatt Regency Tulsa, the largest hotel in Oklahoma. Scholl also spent seven years working with The Peabody Hotel in Little Rock, Arkansas as the director of sales and marketing. During his tenure in Little Rock, he oversaw all sales, catering, reservations, public relations and marketing staff, driving more than $26 million in hotel revenue annually and eventually achieving the Forbes Four-Star designation.

Heather Dill has been appointed as Director of Sales at Embassy Suites Hotel Downtown Tuscaloosa

Heather is a hospitality sales executive with 10 years' experience with major brands in the hotel industry, including Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt Regency - The Wynfrey, and Sheraton. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, majoring in Human Environmental Science with a concentration in Event and Meeting Planning/Restaurant and Hospitality Management. Heather is goal-oriented with a track record of consistently meeting and exceeding established objectives related to management, training and client relations. She is a native of Tuscaloosa, is an active member of several organizations in Tuscaloosa, and served on the Pelham Advisory Board.

Muhammad Nadeem has been appointed as Director of Restaurant Operations at The Hotel at Auburn University

Before joining The Hotel at Auburn University, Nadeem was responsible for the oversight of restaurant, banquets and room service operations at Domaso at Hotel Palomar in Rosslyn, Va.; Jackson 20 at Hotel Monaco; and The Grille at Morrison House Hotel in Old Town Alexandria, Va., all part of KIMPTON Hotel & Restaurants. As the Restaurant Manager, and later Assistant General Manager at Domaso, Nadeem assisted in new restaurant openings, as well as worked closely with the executive team to expand the restaurant’s seasonal beverages and cocktails. In addition, he also oversaw the expansion of Domaso’s catering business and managed the service training, counseling and coaching of his employees.

Erik Mrdak has been appointed as Director of Food & Beverage at Oasis Hotel

Mrdak most recently served as the director of food and beverage for the High Peaks Resort in Lake Placid, N.Y. In his new role, he will oversee all aspects of the Central Alabama property's food and beverage operations, including restaurants, bars, menu development, wine selections, food preparation, dining accessories, room service, catering and receptions. Mrdak has worked in various food and beverage and retail management roles for lodging properties in New York, Colorado, South Carolina, New Jersey and Texas. He joined Lake Placid's High Peaks Resort as director of food and beverage in 2008, helping take the property from AAA "Three-Diamond" to "Four-Diamond" status. As Lake Placid's top destination property, the High Peaks appeared on more than 90 TV stations and/or networks around the world, including NBC, CNN and MSNBC.
