Remington Hospitality, a notable hotel management firm, has taken over the operations of the Murrieta Hot Springs Resort, located in Southern California. The historic resort, established in 1902, is on a 46-acre property and is currently under renovation. It is set to reopen in the winter as a wellness-focused hot springs resort. This move marks Remington Hospitality's first collaboration with Olympus Real Estate Group and its inaugural property management in Murrieta. The resort promises a combination of luxury, health, and relaxation, with a slew of amenities including natural hot springs, a geothermal spa, fitness programs, and nutritious dining options.

SURVEY: 86% of LA residents say city should not prioritize housing homeless individuals in hotels

98% of Los Angeles residents say homelessness in the city is a crisis or a major problem. Despite that, 86% say LA should not prioritize housing people experiencing homelessness in hotels, according to a new survey commissioned by the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) and conducted by Public Opinion Strategies.LA residents are set to vote in March 2024 on whether to require all local hotels to house unhoused individuals next to paying guests as part of a ballot initiative proposed by Unite Here, a labor union that represents LA-area hotel workers.

Galaxy Hotels Group Converts 220-Key Cedar Rapids Hotel in Iowa to Radisson Brand and Prepares for Renovation

Galaxy Hotels Group today announced the conversion of the full-service hotel at 1200 Collins Road NE in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to the Radisson Hotels Americas brand, which is a part of Choice Hotels International. The newly branded Radisson Hotel Cedar Rapids is the first hotel conversion to the Radisson brand since Radisson Hotels Americas was acquired by Choice Hotels International in 2022. The seven-story, atrium-style property features 220 keys and approximately 26,000 square feet of event space. The hotel will remain open for business during a comprehensive renovation.
