Tuerck comes to Montage Laguna Beach from the Canyon Ranch SpaClub in Las Vegas, where she spearheaded the launch of the SpaClub's Comprehensive Foot Health Center and Advanced Facial Program; managed the development and training of the Canyon Ranch SpaClub management team; coordinated the staff training of 19 Canyon Ranch SpaClubs aboard cruise ships worldwide; and served on the design and development teams for many new Canyon Ranch properties. In 1999, she began her tenure with the company as an exercise physiologist and continued to achieve successive promotions to fitness lead, wellness manager and associate spa director, until her appointment as spa director in 2012.
Marie Parodi joins the JW Marriott Chicago as director of the Spa at JW Chicago opening this July. She comes from The Spa at Williams Island Club in Miami where she served as the spa director for the past five years. While responsible for the spa operations she additionally oversaw the spa's renovation project including construction and design. As Spa Director, Ratkovits oversees day-to-day operations, including staff management, client appointments, promotions and spa product lines. Prior to joining Evangeline, Ratkovits served as the spa manager of PierVana Hair-Spa-Jewels in South Burlington, Vermont. For five years prior to that, she was the owner and general manager of Simply Serenity Spa, also in Vermont. With more than 10 years of experience, Ratkovits has worked as a cosmetologist, esthetician and massage therapist at spas in Vermont. She is an active member of the International Spa Association.
Maxime Cormier has been appointed regional spa director by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and spa director at Rosewood Sand Hill in Menlo Park, California. Maxime is the first regional spa director for the ultra-luxury hotel group.
Born and raised in California, Director Catherine Phillips brings extensive experience to the luxurious full-service facility and is excited to expand and build on the facility’s wide array of revitalizing treatments. Director Phillips brings a unique passion and more than twenty years in the spa, salon and wellness industry to this new role at St. Kitts Marriott’s Emerald Mist Spa. Phillips most recently served as a member of the spa management team at Marriott’s Renaissance Lodge in her native Sonoma, California. Prior to returning to her home state, Phillips’ enthusiasm for culture and travel led her to accept a management position in England’s Lake District in 2006.
