Park Hyatt Marrakech Planned to open in 2020

Park Hyatt Marrakech will bring a personalized, luxury experience to the impressive Al Maaden residential and leisure development, and will be the fourth Hyatt-branded hotel in Morocco. For guests interested in rare and intimate experiences, the 181-room hotel will be set against the spectacular backdrop of the Atlas Mountains. The hotel will also feature a resort complex and Moroccan garden-inspired 18-hole golf course, designed by award-winning golf course designer, Kyle Phillips. Renowned architects Didier Lefort, Eduardo Gaggiano, Cheong Yew Kuan and Patrick Genard will collaborate to design the development.

Hyatt Centric Dakar if Hyatt's first hotel in Senegal

Hyatt Centric Kermel Dakar, Senegal will be the first Hyatt-branded hotel in Senegal and the first Hyatt Centric hotel in Africa. Hyatt Centric hotels are located in the world's most vibrant and exciting cities, putting their guests in the middle of the action allowing them to easily explore the heart of the destination. Hyatt Centric Kermel Dakar will offer 152 guestrooms, two restaurants, a guest lounge and bar, and will be within walking distance to major international organizations in the city, such as UNICEF and UNESCO.

Hyatt Regency Taghazout, Morocco Opening Q3 2019

Hyatt Regency Taghazout, Morocco will be the second Hyatt-branded hotel in Taghazout, joining Hyatt Place Taghazout Bay. The 205-room hotel will be located on a 45-acre site facing the beach in the Taghazout Bay development area. The hotel will be part of a wider development that is set to include residential units, an 18-hole golf course, beach club, retail center, tennis academy, and a Moroccan spa and surf camp. Located in a prime beach area, the hotel will have a variety of dining options, including a specialty restaurant and a pool bar.

First Hyatt Regency in Ethiopia opens late 2018

Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa, Ethiopia will feature 180 guestrooms and will be situated in an ideal location for business travelers in Addis Ababa's central Kirkos district within the heart of Africa's fourth largest city. This location will offer excellent access to some of Addis Ababa's most significant destinations, including Meksel Square, the National Palace, the UNECA Conference Center, and the African Union headquarters. The lively Mercato district, Africa's largest open market and home to the largest mosque in Ethiopia, will be easily reached from the hotel, and the airport will be less than four miles (5.5 kilometers) away.

Hyatt Regency Algiers Airport Opening Q1 2019

Hyatt Regency Algiers Airport, Algeria will be part of a wider airport expansion in one of north Africa's largest cities. The 326-room hotel will be situated directly opposite the airport's new terminal and will be the only terminal-linked hotel. Centrally located at the entry to the airport, Hyatt Regency Algiers Airport will be designed so that guests can easily make connections and deliver a one-stop experience.

Hyatt Hotels to launch Hyatt Regency Arusha in 2019

Hyatt Regency Arusha, Tanzania will be the third Hyatt-branded hotel in Tanzania. The 174-room hotel will occupy a 29-acre site in central Arusha, a city in northern Tanzania and home to the East African Community headquarters, an intergovernmental organization. Located in the heart of Arusha, the hotel will be in close proximity to some of Africa's most famous natural landscapes and national parks, including Tarangire National Park and Mount Kilimanjaro.

New Radisson hotel signed in Abidjan, Ivory Coast

Hilton returns to the Moroccan capital

Hilton will once again be welcoming guests to the Moroccan capital city of Rabat from 2022 after a landmark deal was signed with Wessal Capital. At a ceremony in Dubai, a management agreement for a 150 room Hilton Rabat to form part of the city"s Wessal Bouregreg project was confirmed.

Hotel Verde Zanzibar opens its doors in Tanzania

After three years of construction, Hotel Verde Zanzibar - Azam Luxury Resort & Spa will host her first guests on 21 March 2018. The 106-roomed, five-star hotel was commissioned by owner and Zanzibari-born businessman Mr Said Salim Awadh Bakhresa and will now fulfil his vision of becoming leaders in the green economy sector by building East Africa"s greenest hotel. Following on from their success and worldwide recognition of Hotel Verde, Africa"s greenest hotel in Cape Town Airport, the project was contracted to South African-based Verde Hotels. Mr Bakhresa, Chairman of the Bakhresa Group, appointed the group to manage the construction and development through to opening, including the marketing and management of this new sustainably responsible hotel.

Renaissance Landmark Lagos Hotel Signed for Nigeria

The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the fastest growing hotel companies in the world, adds another iconic Radisson Blu hotel in Ethiopia, in the city of Bishoftu. The newly constructed Radisson Blu will open in 2020. Carlson Rezidor is operating a Radisson Blu Hotel in Addis Ababa, since 2011 and plans to open its second Blu in the city within the next 18 months.

New Mövenpick Hotel for Abidjan

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has marked another milestone in its Africa expansion strategy with construction work on the 160-key upscale Mövenpick Hotel Abidjan now under way. The upcoming property"s first stone was laid on Saturday (October 7) and a 2020 opening date was announced in a ceremony that heralded the acceleration of the Swiss hospitality firm"s development plans in the Sub-Saharan region. Mövenpick Hotel Abidjan will be the company's first property in Côte d'Ivoire and one of four currently in active development in the region. The other three are Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Nairobi in Kenya, which is on track to open in 2018, Mövenpick Hotel Addis Ababa in Ethiopia set to open in 2019 and Mövenpick Hotel & Conference Centre Abuja in Nigeria set for completion in 2020. Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts currently operates a 260-key property in Ghana – Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra. Mövenpick Hotel Abidjan is located in the heart of the city"s Le Plateau business district, home to government buildings and local landmarks such as St. Paul"s Cathedral and Banco National Park.

AVANI Gammarth Tunis Resort & Spa Scheduled for 2021

AVANI Gammarth Tunis Resort & Spa is expected to open in 2021 and will offer 250 keys in a prime beachfront location. Located 20 minutes from Tunis Airport and 30 minutes from the city centre, Gammarth is an upmarket coastal resort area of Tunis, catering to a mix of Leisure, Government, Corporate and MICE demand. The new resort will form part of a larger development that will include retail and entertainment zones. Areen Design's International Expansion Continues With New Hotel Project In Madagascar

Located in Madagascar"s capital city Antananarivo, the 25 storey Sheraton hotel is being transformed with all guest rooms and public spaces undergoing major refurbishment, with interiors by Areen Design"s award-winning hospitality team. The 224-bed hotel is the latest project where Areen Design has been commissioned to offer a full design and procurement package, providing interior design services alongside a multi-million pound contract supplying the furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) and operating supplies & equipment (OS&E).
