Principal Real Estate Europe Acquires The Ona Hotel Terra In Barcelona For Their Hotel Real Estate Fund Ii

On behalf of the Principal Hotel Real Estate Fund II ( "Hotelfund II" ) PRINCIPAL REAL ESTATE EUROPE " PRINCIPAL", confirms the closing of the acquisition of the Ona Hotel Terra in Barcelona for € 40.50 million from a local real estate developer. The 3* hotel has 152 rooms, a restaurant, a bar, 2 meeting rooms as well as a rooftop terrace with swimming pool offering exceptional views over Plaza de España and Palace of Montjuic. As part of the transaction a long-term lease was entered into with Ona Hotels, a family owned Spanish hotel group based in Barcelona which operates 40 hotels in 4 countries (Spain, Andorra, Morocco and Tunisia) with ca. 5,500 rooms.

Whitbread Secures Fourth Premier Inn Hotel in Dublin, Ireland

Whitbread, one of the UK's largest hotel businesses, has secured its fourth location in Dublin city centre. The prime site on Gloucester Street in Dublin 2 will be redeveloped into a 108-bedroom Premier Inn hotel, increasing Premier Inn's secured development pipeline in the city to more than 630 bedrooms, and 830 hotel rooms across Ireland.

Hilton Debuts Curio Collection by Hilton in Portugal

Hilton (NYSE: HLT) is launching two hotels in Portugal under its Curio Collection by Hilton brand. The collection of remarkable upper upscale hotels and resorts will be joined by The Emerald House Lisbon, which will open in the Portuguese capital in Summer 2020, and Boeira Garden Hotel Porto Gaia in Porto, which will welcome guests in a phased opening in December 2019 with the hotel fully operational in Spring 2020.

Hilton Launches Next Stage of Expansion in the German Market

Hyatt Announces Plans for First Two Hyatt-Branded Hotels in Manchester

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced today that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management agreement with Ewart Manchester Properties Limited, a majority owned subsidiary of M&L Hospitality, for Hyatt Regency Manchester Oxford Road and Hyatt House Manchester/Oxford Road, both of which will be located in Manchester, UK. The 212-room Hyatt Regency hotel and the 116-room Hyatt House hotel will both be located in the landmark building "The Lume," and are expected to open in 2020, which would bring the total number of Hyatt-branded hotels in the U.K. to 11 by 2022.
