Gen McKenzie has been appointed as Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Onyx Hospitality Group

ONYX Hospitality Group has appointed Gen McKenzie as its new Executive Vice President of Human Resources. With over two decades of experience in HR strategy and talent management both in hospitality as well as marketing and advertising, Gen joins ONYX from integrated marketing and communications agency MullenLowe Group, where she led the global firm's regional HR agenda as Regional Head of Talent Management, based in Singapore. Starting her career in hospitality, Gen's first role was at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, before being subsequently appointed to a cluster role as Director of Human Resources for Four Seasons Resorts in Bali. She was then appointed to the Four Seasons' Southeast Asia regional office as Area Director of Human Resources and Training. Following 12 years with Four Seasons, Gen went on to serve in a variety of senior HR leadership roles at Mandara Spa, Alila Hotels & Resorts and SilverNeedle Hospitality Group.

Bernard Kam has been appointed as Director of Human Resources at Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers

Experience in the full range of human resources area including talent attraction & retention, performance management and development, organization design, merger and integrations, Bernard Kam, the newly-appointed Director of Human Resources, is responsible for leading the human resource strategies, programmes, trainings and performances for a total of 630 associates and managers in the hotel. Prior to joining Sheraton, Bernard held several senior positions over his 25-year hospitality journey including Renaissance Harbour View Hotel, Mandarin Oriental, The American Club, and the recent role as Group Director of Human Resources at Marco Polo Hotels and Plaza Premiu m Group.

Rosanna Maietta has been named President at American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI)

Maietta, who has served as interim President of the Foundation since May of last year, currently serves as senior vice president of communications and marketing. As AHLEF President, Rosanna will lead the Foundation and its team to advance its mission of ensuring a strong and viable future for the entire lodging industry by fueling the talent pipeline. She will be responsible for raising the Foundation's profile and overseeing its scholarship, research, and career development programs. She will also oversee the administration of AHLA's intermediary contract with the U.S. Department of Labor to expand apprenticeship programs.

Stephanie Benadof has been named corporate director of human resources at The Hotel Group (THG)

The Hotel Group (THG) has named Stephanie Benadof as corporate director of human resources. She joins THG from Asure Consulting (formerly Personnel Management Systems Inc.), where she served as a senior HR consultant responsible for providing comprehensive HR solutions to small and mid-sized companies. Prior to Asure Consulting, she served as a human resource consultant for the Cobos Group and human resources director for Pura Vida Coffee.

Leslie Fisher has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Training at Red Roof

Red Roof has announced the promotion of Leslie Fisher to Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Training. Fisher has worked at Red Roof for over a decade, rising through the ranks from Director of Training, to Vice President, Human Resources and Training, and now to her current role. As SVP, she will continue to provide leadership to the Human Resources, Training, and Quality Departments and take on an even greater strategic role in cultivating Red Roof's talent.

Angelique Kelly-Lara has been promoted to VP of global talent acquisition at Choice Hotels International, Inc.

Choice Hotels International has promoted Angelique Kelly-Lara to VP of global talent acquisition. She has been a member of the hospitality group's human resources team since 2014, most recently serving as senior director of human resources. Prior to joining Choice Hotels, she held leadership positions at McDonald's Corporation, most recently serving as director, human resources and employee relations for the U.S. business. Earlier in her career, she held similar positions at Aramark Corporation, Banker's Life and Casualty Company.

Robin Gamino has been appointed as Director of Human Resources at The Langham Huntington, Pasadena

The Langham Huntington, Pasadena, Southern California's iconic landmark hotel, appoints seasoned hospitality professional, Robin Gamino as Director of Human Resources. In her role, Gamino will oversee recruitment, operations management, employee relations, training and development and benefits administration. She will serve on the hotel's Executive Committee supporting the hotel's mission, vision and values.

Jennifer Colvin has been appointed as Corporate Director of Human Resources at Greystone Hotels

Sonia Rollins has been appointed as Director of Human Resources at InterContinental San Francisco

New Director of Human Resources Sonia Rollins joins the InterContinental San Francisco team from Meadowood Resort & Spa in Napa Valley. She brings more than 15 years of director level experience in human resources to her new position working with hotels like the Claremont Hotel & Spa in Berkeley and its 700 employees to the Pan Pacific Hotel with an employee base of 250. She spent more than ten years with Le Meridien Hotel in San Francisco as Director of Human Resources where she saw the hotel through a brand transition, worked with the hotel’s 230 employees, and served on the Executive Committee Board supporting the hotel’s mission, vision, and values. Outside of the hotel industry, Sonia has worked with the Bay Club Company as Corporate Director of Human Resources, overseeing 23 locations between Northern and Southern California.

Julie Inman has been appointed as Director of Human Resources at R.A. Rauch & Associates, Inc.
