Hilton announced th eappointment of Alejandro Larrondo as general manager of the 540-room Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe All-Inclusive Resort, expected to join Hilton's all-inclusive portfolio on October 23rd 2023. Centrally located in Cancun's popular hotelzone, the beachfront resort features world-class culinary concepts and bars, family-friendly amenities, multiple pools, a refreshed spa and more.

RIU completes the refurbishment of the Riu Caribe and brings its RIU Party events to Cancun

RIU Hotels & Resorts presents the new and improved Riu Caribe following a complete transformation. The hotel, which RIU purchased in 2003, already underwent a renovation in 2013, and this second makeover is yet more proof of the hotel chain's commitment to quality in Mexico. In addition to some impressive changes in the lobby, rooms, restaurants and common areas that will surprise guests, the new Riu Caribe will now be the first in the area to host RIU Party events, which will be open to all RIU guests in Cancun.

Hilton Expands Mexico All-Inclusive Portfolio with Signing of Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe All-Inclusive Resort in Cancun’s Hotel Zone

Today, global hospitality leader Hilton (NYSE: HLT), announced the signing of a management agreement for the 540-room Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe All-Inclusive Resort. Now accepting reservations and expected to open in November of this year, the newly-renovated property bolsters Hilton's all-inclusive presence in the Caribbean and Latin America, where Hilton currently has nine all-inclusive resorts. Centrally located in Cancun's popular Hotel Zone, the resort is just 10 miles from Cancun International Airport, is nestled along 600 feet of pristine beachfront between the Caribbean Sea and the Nichupte Lagoon, and features world-class culinary concepts and bars, family-friendly amenities, several pools and more. The property, formerly known as Royal Uno All-Inclusive Resort & Spa, is owned by Tortuga Resorts and will be managed by Hilton.

Stuart Roger has been appointed as Executive Chef at Waldorf Astoria Cancun

Chef Roger brings over 20 years of culinary experience in the restaurant and luxury hospitality space to the resort. Roger began his career as a chef's assistant with Rocco Forte Hotels where he quickly transitioned to station chef, a role held for four years at various properties such as, Evian Royal Resort, Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo, and Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer. After successfully working in the kitchens of these luxurious properties, Roger moved to the French Riviera as sous chef of Club Ninety-Six in Los Cabos. In 2011, Roger earned his first role as an executive chef at Quinta Real Monterrey Hotel and held this role across various locations such as Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal, Neptune Restaurant at Villa del Arco Cabo San Lucas, and at One&Only Resorts until now taking on the position at Waldorf Astoria Cancun.

RIU opens Riu Palace Kukulkan, its fifth hotel in Cancun and 22nd in Mexico

RIU Hotels & Resorts has inaugurated a new 5-star establishment with 428 rooms on the beach in Cancun, Riu Palace Kukulkan. The new hotel offers 24-hour All-Inclusive service and is Adults Only. 2022 marks the 25th anniversary of RIU in Mexico, a country that has become RIU's main international destination with 22 hotels in five Caribbean and Pacific states, which have a total of 12,000 rooms and provide employment to almost 9,000 collaborators.

RIU remains committed to Mexico and opens its third hotel in Costa Mujeres: Riu Latino

RIU Hotels & Resorts just inaugurated its third hotel in Costa Mujeres: the Riu Latino. The chain, which is celebrating its 25th Anniversary in Mexico this year, now has 21 hotels at the six most popular beach destinations in the country, as well as in Guadalajara, Jalisco. The Riu Latino, a five-star establishment with 24-hour all-inclusive services, offers all guests the amenities and facilities of Riu Classic Hotels, but with the added value of the exclusive service for which the adults-only resorts are known. Until now, it was reserved only for Riu Palace hotels.

Kempinski Hotels Extends North American footprint with Takeover of Luxurious Beach Hotel in Cancun, Mexico

With no closure of operations, this well-known property will undergo various improvements and adjustments to the Kempinski brand standards in the coming months and will be named Grand Hotel Cancun - managed by Kempinski during the transition period. From end of year 2022 it will be fully operated under Kempinski Hotel Cancun.
