The 94-suite Residence Inn by Marriott in Greenwood, Indiana opened today with its upscale, stylish décor that offers flexibility, while creating a unique environment. Located at 5250 Noggle Way near I-65 and County Line Road, the all-suite Residence Inn Indianapolis South/Greenwood will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Sprague Hotel Developers of Columbus, Indiana.

HRI Lodging has appointed Rick Schatz general manager for the dual-branded Hyatt Place and Hyatt Hotel in downtown Indianapolis. He will oversee all aspects of the hotel's management, including operations, sales, marketing, security, maintenance, housekeeping and accounting. Schatz previously served as the resort manager of the Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club in Massachusetts and served as director of operations at Le Meridien New Orleans. He holds a bachelor's degree in fine arts with department honors from the University of Redlands.

When Good Hospitality Services (GHS) began its final countdown to the opening of its Home-2-Suites by Hilton in Indianapolis last month, they noticed a problem. The 108-room, seven-story historic building had no cellular coverage. In today's constantly connected world, that was not acceptable for ownership. Just as the group was deliberating possible solutions, Josh Latham, regional vice president of sales for RoamBOOST, called GHS' Corporate Director of Operations Tim Herzog. The full scope of the problem became apparent and RoamBOOST's distributed- antenna system (DAS) proved to be the perfect solution.

Terry Green has been appointed as General Manager at Omni Severin Hotel

Green has been with Omni for 10 years and previously served as general manager for the Omni Austin Hotel at Southpark. Prior to that, he served as the director of sales and marketing for the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown, as well as the area director of sales and marketing for the south Texas region of the luxury hotel brand. Under his leadership, the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown sales team was awarded Omni’s prestigious Sales Team of the Year award in 2004.With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, departments under his supervision have met or exceeded goals and objectives including increased sales, bookings and employee training. Before joining Omni, Green worked as the director of sales and marketing at the Tulsa Marriott Southern Hills. He reached that position after a 14-year stint working for the Hilton Wichita Airport Executive Conference Center.
