Chad Armistead has been appointed as Director of Rooms at Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa

A native of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Chad Armistead brings 18 years of hospitality experience to Hilton Sandestin Beach. His career has encompassed numerous hotels and resorts in Nashville, Tennessee, including Gaylord Opryland Hotel, Hilton Nashville Downtown, Hotel Preston, Hyatt Place, Union Station Hotel, Hutton Hotel and Hilton Nashville Downtown. At these diverse properties, Armistead held various positions covering critical tasks, such as managing and directing hotel operations, supervising front office and housekeeping, managing revenue and providing daily management reports and monthly forecasts. As director of rooms at Hilton Sandestin Beach, Armistead will oversee all aspects of the Rooms Division operation, including housekeeping, front desk management, bell stand and concierge services.

Wayne Stokes has been appointed as Director of front office at Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa

With more than 37 years of experience in hospitality, Wayne Stokes has held senior level positions with industry-leading companies and properties such as The Royal York Hotel and L’Hotel in Toronto. Stokes recently held the position of rooms division manager with a Marriott Autograph Collection property in Orlando, Florida, before stepping into the director of front office position at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, Arizona. Prior to that, he was part of the Casino Del Sol Resort and Conference Center's opening team in the spring of 2011 and directed front office operations of the successful opening of Orlando's newest and most luxurious Westin property, the Westin Lake Mary. In his new role at Hilton Sandestin Beach, Stokes will oversee front office operations, including management of front office, front desk agents and telecommunications.

Chef Graupner joined the Seagar’s team five years ago as a part-time prep cook who quickly learned and moved up as a line cook then earned title of Sous Chef under the leadership of Chef Dan Vargo, the previous executive chef of Seagar’s and newly appointed executive chef of Hilton Sandestin Beach.

In his new position, Chef Vargo will blend Baltimore's traditional and historical influences, Martha’s Vineyard’s emphasis on organic produce and seasonal seafood, and the Ritz-Carlton’s world-class standards for fine dining and excellence in service into the Hilton Sandestin Beach experience. Chef Vargo started his journey at Hilton Sandestin Beach in April 2012 as executive chef at Seagar’s Prime Steaks & Seafood, the resort’s AAA Four-Diamond restaurant.

Royce Hanson has been appointed as Director of Security at Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa

Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa, the largest full-service beachfront resort hotel on Northwest Florida’s Gulf Coast, has announced the appointment of Royce Hanson as the resort’s new director of security. In this position, Hanson will oversee all aspects of security at the 602-room resort. “Royce’s background in law enforcement and long-standing relationship with the resort make him a natural choice for our director of security,” said Gary Brielmayer, general manager. “As a trusted member of the resort family, I’m confident he will continue to further our standards for safety and security.” Hanson first joined Hilton Sandestin in March 2009 as an overnight security officer and, in 2012, was promoted to security supervisor, before accepting his new position as director of security. Hanson graduated from Northwest Florida State College in 1993 where he participated in the law enforcement program, after which he began a 14-year career with the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office.
